  • AC Sportsbooks coming?

a 'friend' mentioned that Atlantic City is going to
get sportsbooks (not just the race book they have now).

says the jersey-philly-nyc mobs are pissed.

has anyone else heard any rumors about it?

i live in ac and work at caesars and of course i would love to see it here.It passed the first step last week and now must go through the assembly and senate. And the acting governor Cody has always been against sportsbetting in nj even before he took over as govenor. It also will be difficult to pass through the senate. But with pennsylvania getting slots soon it may be a wise idea to try to pass this bill so ac has more than slots and table games.(but for now there is always the internet)

Years ago they put it on are ballots for a vote in nov and it got turned down big time.I hope and love for it to happen.Im also hearing if new york passes it they will have it at all otb parlors.Lets just hope and pray.I love offshore but somtimes a little hassle keep sending money via western union or federal express. Thanks all and good luck today >Rip..I cant see why the bookies will get pissed..It will probally help the bookies. With legalize gambling they will get more people betting ..Than some people will get tired of driving to ac and just pick up the phones.Alot of bookies benefitted from the offshore thing happening..Since the offshore open most bookies in nyc stay open for at least 12 hours now and offer 1/2 time & money lines.when they only stayed open a few hours and had no 1/2 time lines..( the guys i know love that the offshore opened,,just my 2 cents )

I believe they were looking to only allow betting on professional events, no college games.
