Duke -17 Like Duke here to win this one big. VA can't stop anybody on the defensive side of the ball, and the Dukies play solid defense limiting every team they have played this season to under 50% shooting. At home, that adds up to a 20+ point win. (2 units) Duke -17

Eagles -8 So members...how was your Saturday? That good, huh?!? LOL! What a day!? What a day!? Much to our members delight, The Swami pulled the rabbit out of the hat once again. Putting himself out there like no capper on the internet and basically guaranteeing not one BIG winner, but TWO BIG winners. One being a MONSTER +10 Unit PLAYOFF GAME OF THE YEAR! What was more impressive, and letting The Swam know he is "in tune" was his analysis of both games was right on the money. And I mean, right on the money. Thats the true test if a handicapper knows what he is talking about or not. Not just picking the winner, but how he came up with that winner. And if you re-read the plays, you can see The Swami was right on target in both games. The Jets should have gotten us the outright winner as we predicted they would, and the Falcons, well did you see the way they ran the ball all over the Rams as we said they would?!? 2005 NFL Playoffs: 5-3 (63%) for +18.4 units. This week: 9-3-1 (75%) for +23.4 units! YTD: 214-178-6 (55%) for +41.9 units! Now, in this game, we are all over the Eagles. Let me count the ways. First and foremost, we again will go back to the beginning of the season. This Eagles team was built to got Super Bowling, and they certainly showed all season that they were headed in that direction. Now, with the loss of T.O., you have the media questioning the other 52 guys in that locker room if they can still get their. Are you kidding me?? Make no mistake about it, the fact that the Eagles lost their last two games of the regular season works (when they played the JV team) works to our advantage here. The public and the casula fan has a short term memory. And all they remember is the Vikings looked great last week, and the Eagles got mauled the last 2 weeks of the season. Do NOT be fooled! This Eagles team plays some nasty defense. This is not the suspect secondary the Vikings beat up on last week in GB. Remember, we HAD the Vikings last week and called it perfectly. We saw the area Culpepper and co. could exploit. Not this week. The Philadelphia pass rush, ranked second in the NFL with 47 sacks during the regular season. Do you see a trend here? I have been doing this a long time. And would like to think I am pretty damn good at it. I know what to look for. A good pass rush this time of year is paramount. I believe I mentioned that yesterday in my analysis of the Falcons game. (sic) The Eagles get after the QB, and DC Jim Johnson, more than any other defensive genius in these playoffs is the MASTER, the f*cking master, of the disguising the blitz. And he blitzes from every angle. The Eagles believe that pressure on the QB turns into turnovers for that ball-hawing secondary. A secondary that is as talented as any in the league. And a physical one at that. Free safety Brian Dawkins and strong safety Michael Lewis were both Pro Bowl selections this season, as was cornerback Lito Sheppard. They will limit what Minnesota wants to do, and once Philly builds a lead, will cause turnovers when Minnesota goes into desperation mode. To beat the Eagles you have to be physical and be able to run the ball, and the Vikings simply aren't that. And remember, the Vikings went into GB knowing they could play with the Packers. They matchup well with them, and had played them tough both times this season. The defense stepped up and made some plays against a very familiar opponent. This is a whole different animal today. The Eagles are a nasty bunch. And that stadium Sunday is going to be rocking. Those fans are nasty. The loss of T.O. certainly will hurt, but you have an offense now that has been challenged to show they can win without him. And they don't want to just get by the Vikings, they want to send a message to Atlanta (especially after the mauling Atlanta had over the Rams) that hey, we are here too! HC Andy Reid is a MASTER when he has the extra week to prepare. One of the best. With TE's L.J. Smith and Chad Lewis, along with B. Westbrook and WR's T. Pinkston and F. Mitchell, the Eagles have plenty of weapons. And don't be surprised if you see veteran RB D. Levins in the backfield (who performed well in Westrbook's absence this year) and dual threat B. Westbrook split wide on several plays. He did have 73 receptions and 6 TD's this year. And again, I have looked at the film, and I am not convinced that the Vikings defense all of a sudden is going to be any different this week. This still is a flawed 8-8 team, that happened to rise to the occasion last week, after much prodding that they "wouldn't even show up" in GB. I think it will be hard for them to turn that intensity up again this week here. Similar to the way the Falcons came out Saturday, I believe Andy Reid's coaching staff wants to jump all over the Vikings early and test their confidence. The Vikings are a team that needs to play with the lead, they are not a good team when playing from behind. And this matchup plays into the Eagles strengths. As I said, the Eagles can only be beat by a physical running team that can use that running game to setup the pass. Finesse teams get mauled by the Eagles and I think this one get ugly. I really like the Eagles here. Its a MONSTER Play and the Play of the Day for Sunday! (6 units) Eagles -8

Patriots -1 All the talk this week about Manning and the Colts plays right into the Patriots hands. They are at their best when they appear like they cannot win the game. And at home they get all the calls. And I mean all the calls. And moron kicker Mike Vanderjagt, made the wrong move this week when he opened his mouth and stated that the Patriots were "ripe for the picking." Not smart. All this talk about Manning, has overshadowed the fact that I am not sure the Colts defense is going to be able to stop QB Tom Brady, and more importantly RB C. Dillon. Dillon is pumped to play in this playoff game, and will be the difference here. What was overlooked in the rout of Denver last week, was the fact that the Broncos really moved the ball in the 2nd half, after Plummer got over his jitters. It was too little too late for them, but I think NE will have no problem moving the ball here. Outgoing Off.Coordinator and new Notre Dame coach, Charlie Weiss, will have many a offensive scheme to attack this Colts defense. And although the Colts did a good job of stopping the run last week, they still ranked 24th in the league agst the run this year and I think similar to the way the Rams handled the Seahawks the week before and got ran all over yesterday, the same will happen here. Belichick and Weiss know they must control the clock and keep Manning on the sidelines. The Patriots ranked 7th in NFL rushing offense (133.4 yards per game) during the regular season. They are a physical bunch that will wear down the qucik, but undersized D-Line of the Colts. And remember, Belichick and Weiss are disciples of Bill Parcells, meaning they know against a high powered offense like the Colts, the best thing to do is control the clock, control the tempo of the game, and play solid defense when they are on the field. As good as Manning and that offense is, they do tend to get a bit frustrated when things aren't going their way. You could see that in the Ravens game this year when for a little while, the Ravens had them confused and on the ropes. Now, stopping Manning and the Colts will be a daunting task. And I realize that Manning is determined to have a good game here. And there has been all this talk about the Patriots secondary being in shambles. However, Belichick and def. coordinator R. Cremmel are masters of using what they have to the best of their ability, and I am not as concerned as most in the media have suggested. With Belichick its the scheme sometimes more than the personal. And I believe he will switch things up on Manning all game. Sometimes dropping six into coverage. Sometimes, putting the safeties up and the corners in. Believe me, he will maximize what he has to work with. And remember, the Patriots were tied for third in the NFL in sacks with 45 during the regular season, and will likely pressure Manning all day. The Patriots' defensive strength lies with stopping the run, as Belichick's squad was sixth in the league in rushing defense. So the feeling here is they may be able to force Manning to pass, and have them abandon the running game. The running game, believe it or not, is the real key to stopping the Colts. Because if you can stop that, Manning's outstanding play action passes can't burn you. In addition, the mind games have already started, and word out of NE is that Belichick has had them oversaturate the field in an effort to slow the Colts down. Bottom line, as good as the Colts offense has looked, I am not of the belief you can go against Belichick here. And the Pats offense can move the ball, and will move it early and often on the Colts. Corey Dillon will be the deciding factor in this game, and being at home is a huge advantage to the Patriots. (3 units) Patriots -1
