  • NBA Over Totals Question

It may be just me, but it seems like the NBA Overs are coming in at a rate of about 66%(no research involved their just a guess). Does anyone know of a site that may have the percentage of all the NBA games that have gone over the total? Or I know some of you have databases that may be able to tell you this?

What I am looking for is the Overall percentage of NBA game that have gone over the total and if I can get the percentage of Overs for each month. Thank you in advance.

I know that the point total has been a huge concern for the NBA, cause they want high scores and a fast pace! It amazes me that the scores are consistently over 100, last year it was a rare treat to have both teams in the 100's. I attribute this to the youth wave finally hitting shots! In the hayday the mid-range jumpshot drove the totals, now its driving to the lane and finishing or dishing. The oddsmakers are adjusting lines, I mean already Miami @ Phoenix is 215!!!

Bobby your guess is way off base. Season to date games are going OVER 53.8%. Since 1995 the games have gone OVER 50.5%. This season the OVERS are up. Look for Vegas to make an adjustment. At seasons end the total will be close to 50/50.

I have noticed some high lines, like the Miami/Phoenix one. Thats why I want to see a month by month break down as well, to see if the rate of Overs is decreasing. You know Vegas will get it evened out eventually.

Frankb03, thank you, for the percentage. I guess it is just deceiving to see all of the scores total near 200+ every morning. I appreciate your help.

AGREED! Especially, last season with Detroit games being low scoring affairs.
