Really surprised “The Animal” when discovering Auburn is 18-8 SU this year. The War Eagles are 3-6 SU in their last nine games and I suspect had a ton of creampuff victories early in the season. Florida won at LSU by 17 points and the Gators come off a 61-point 2nd half against South Carolina and possibly the most impressive half of college basketball that I’ve witnessed since Kentucky at Vanderbilt six weeks ago. Auburn comes off a 31-point loss at LSU in a game they basically quit allowing the Tigers 94 points. This team lost their last home game by 17 points to Mississippi State. I just don’t feel Auburn has the type of offense that can stay with Florida. It’s very difficult to cover as a road favorite in the SEC and the Gators are 1-6 ATS as a road chalk. But Auburn is 0-6 ATS in the month of March the past three years. Florida has won the last two meetings by margins of 18 and 28 points. The Gators do have Georgia on the road next followed by Kentucky at home. Certainly some factors to consider going against Florida, but I’m counting on the 2nd half momentum from the South Carolina game to carry over here. Plus I feel Auburn is going to have a hard time recovering after the LSU debacle.
