  • Fear not....Steeler Fans!

The Jets will not be the team to take down our mighty Steel-Men! That will be the job of the Patriots the following week in the AFC Championship game. The Steelers should have no problem winning this first game, but the big one at home is the one that always gets us.

The best case scenario for the Steelers would be for the Colts to destroy New England and enter into the AFC Championship game as a road favorite. This might prevent the Steelers from assuming they just have to show up to win, as well as prevent Cower from thinking that a 10 point lead going into the fourth quarter is enough to sit on!

    Correct!!!!

I'm not too sure New England can beat Indy. Indy is playing the best they have played all year. Remember week 1, NE won by a FG. Now, NE is plagued by KEY injuries. Have fun covering three of the TOP receivers in the NFL with your backup corners and your own receiver.

Don't get me wrong.......I do believe this is the year that the Colts get over the hump and beat New England. However, I would not be shocked at all to see the Patriots pull it out somehow.

For those who don't already know, Heinz Feild will be a miserably slow track for the Indy receivers. They will get pounded all day long!

My one fear is whether or not Pittsburgh has gotten over the hump with respect to New England. The Patriots have been a thorn in the side of the Steelers like the Bills were in the early 90's.

Lost outright to Ne -10 in the playoffs a few years back. Looking for the same now with a healthier Chad Pennington than in that 3 interception game last time. 2nd game back from his injury. I love the underdog role, no pressure. Cowher chokes in pressure situation. Jets are nice and loose for this game. Can't wait

          Flipper,

You are partially correct with what you say....yes the Steelers did in fact lose to the Patriots as a 10 pt favorite a few years back. However, the Jets are not the Patriots!

And it is true that Cower does choke, historically, in "big games" or "pressure" situations, but beating the Jets a second time is NOT a pressure situation.....let's get real!

I'd rather take my chances with Manning as opposed to Chad...........Chad might be a good actor though. He would make a great fit with pig-tails and wearing lipstick when they bring OZ back to HBO!
