    • Funny how you would say that these picks are wrong Chari but refuse to give the correct picks out. Seems a little shady to me.

                              ANDY ISKOE

                              Rams +4 AT Seattle (53)

Both teams greatly underachieved this season. Seattle did win games later in the season but had trouble covering as a favorite. Often allowing "backdoor"
****** as the defense consistently was vulnerable. The Rams out yarded the
Seahawks in both previous match-ups this season by combined 140 yards. They are the more talented team with a greater track record of the post-season play and success over the past half decade.
Neither team has an edge in coaching as both St Louis' Mike Martz and Seattles' Mike Holgram have had more than their fair share of justified second guessers, escpecially with in a game decisions and clock management.
Both teams have plenty of weapons on the offense and both defenses have weaknesses. Both teams have had lock-room controversy in recsnt weeks. St. Louis has the better overall statistics but the edges are slight. Seattle can exorcise many demons from that shcoking earlier home loss with a win and the line is cheap.

                              SEATTLE, UNDER

Jets +6 at the Chargers (45)

After starting 5-0, the Jets won just 5 of the next 11. The only impressive win in the second half of the season against a decent team was 37-14 over schizophrenic Seattle. they did win at San Diego very early in the season, but that was before it was realized hoe strong the Chargers would become. The Jets both outrushed and outpassed the Chargers in their 34-28 win. A major reason for the Jets' sucess this season has been an offense that rarely makes mistakes. QB Chad Pennington generally plays within himself but has not shown a consistent ability to make the big play.
Both teams have outstanding running games merely average recievers although, San Diego TE Antonio Gates is an emerging star. San Diego won 11 of it's final 13 games. The Chargers have great momentum and the league's best point spread record at 12-1-2. Ten of their 12 wins were by at least 6 points. Despite average statistics this is a typical Marty Schottenheimer team in which the sum is greatly better than the individual parts
                              SAN DIEGO, UNDER

                              Broncos +10 at Colts (56)

Denver needed a win last week over these Colts to secure a play-off spot, while the Colts were resting most of their key regulatars. Indianapolis rode the arm of QB Payton Manning and his recent record setting 49 TD passes to an outstandingseason and a 3rd straight playoff appearance. Last season they won twice in the paly offs before cuccumbing in hte AFC Title game in New England. The Colts would seem to be the team to take the natural progression fron a conference title loss to the Super Bowl a year later. And their improved defensive play this season might enable tham to just that. Eight of Indy's 16 opponents scored 17 or fewer points. Yhe test for the Colts will be whether or not they win in New England and/or Pitttsburgh.
Denver will not be as easy to defeat this seaon as they were a season ago. Dispite an offense that ranked 4th, Denver should have been able to win more than just 10 games. Six other teams in the playoffs managed to do just that. Still, those impressive rankings show the balance of the Broncos. Seemingly as go the fortunes, so determines the fate of the Broncos. The Colts will have their charged up home crowd cheering for a repeat of last season's blow-out win. but Denver has enough fundamentally to not only keep this game close but also pull off the upset. this line is way too high
                              DENVER,UNDER

                              Vikings +6 at Packers (48)

This is the 3rd game between the league's 3rd and 4th ranked offenses and the number 25 and 28th defenses. Green Bay has the slightly better rankings on both sides of the ball. The outdoor conditions for this game greatly favor the Packers as Minnesota's late season outdoor struggles surfaced again last week in their loss at Washington. Both teams have relatively averaged in the running game. Each is well above average i passing offense and well below in defending the pass. A high scoring game, barring terrible weather, shouldbe a suprise to absolutely nobody.
Minnesota has not lost to Green Bay by more than 4 points since 2001. They have lost by more than 6 points to the Packers just once in their last 4 meetings. Although, Packers QB Brett Farve receives most of the well deserved notoriety, Viking QB Dante Culpepper is a star in his own right and had an outstanding regular season. After going decades without losing a home post season game the Packers finally lost to Atlanta 2 seasons ago and needed overtime to get by Seattle last season. Minnesota is clearly capable of upsetting the Packers notwithstanding the resent slump

                              RICHARD SABER

Rams +4 at Seahawks (53)The Rams beat the Seahawks in both regular season meetings, winning 33-27 at home in OT at Seattle and 23-12 at home. St. Louis won It's last 2 regular season games against the Eagles and Jets to get here. The Seahawks are 2-11 ATS in their last 13 games. I know it's tough to beat a team 3 times in the same season, but you must take the points. RAMS

                              Jets +6 AT Chagers (45)
This one is a no brainer. Jets lost 3 of their last 4 games while the Chargers fropped only 1 all year ATS. That was a loss to the Jets in week 2 34-28. Sweet revenge! CHARGERS
                              Broncos +10 at Colts (56)
The Colts covered just once in their last 4 games and lost to Denver last week as a 10 point dog, 33-14. Indy beat the Broncos in the wild card game last year 41-10. Even though I think the Colts can reach the Super Bowl, I am inclined to take the points
                              BRONCOS

Vikings +6 at Packers (49)The Vikings went 0-5 ATS in their final 5 games. These two met twice during the year with the Packers winning both by a feild goal in high scoring shootouts. green Bay has been up and down, just medicocre 7-8-1 ATS. the last nine match-ups have gone "over" the posted total. If the weather is clear and no snow, make it 10!

                              OVER 49

                              DENNY THE DOG

                              Rams +4 at Seattle
I'm really not keen on either team advancing too far. But I think the Rams have the headier and steadier QB Bulger. He has more big strike capabiliyt and seems to be heating up at the right time after throwing for 450 yards and 3 TDs versus the Jets. Engram and Jackson were standouts for Seattle last week. But in the big money games their hands turn to stone! I'm not sure St. Louis should be the underdog in what I would call a pick'em affair
                              RAMS +4

                              Jets +6 at Chargers
After losing 3 of the last 4 games, the Jets know they're lucky to be on the west this week and notback home freezingtheir asses off! Chargers won 8 straight at one point during the season. And having won 11 of their last 13 and covering more points spreads than any other NFL club, I'm looking for the Lightening Bolts to be slightly overrated. JETS

                              Broncos +10 at Colts
This Sunday, the Broncos will face the feared Peyton Manning. that name alone makes it awfully tough to pop the money clip for Denver. But the Colts aren't invincible, even though they average more points per game (33.9)than any other team. Denver on a 2 game roll and the running backs are starting to find the holes. BRONCOS

                              Viking +6 at Packers
Vikes lost 4 of their last 5. Didn't I read where Mike Tice received a contract extension a week before the holidays. Talk about Christmas coming early! I think the Packers know they can beat Minnesota. And I believe the Vikes know that somehow Brett Farve will find a way to beat them.
