I HATE putting out losing plays and even though it was a 2-1 night last night I had to see what/if I missed on the UTAH ST game. From the short recap I found.......I missed pretty much nothing...apparently a WACKO FLUKE FLURRY of 3's in one short two minute burst did the play in right before half.
The Gauchos only had seven players available for the game. Earlier in the season, starters Casey Cook and Cecil Brown were lost to injury and center Cameron Goettsche made the trip to Logan but was scratched from playing due to a groin injury.
With only one front-court player on the roster for Santa Barbara, USU was able to grab 44 rebounds to 21 for the Gauchos.
A hectic run by UCSB in the final three minutes of the first half, sparked by 3-pointers from See and Alex Harris, brought a 14-point deficit down to a 36-30 halftime score, but the Gauchos could get no closer.
USU came into the game leading the nation in field goal percentage, with 54.2, and shot 52.6 percent. Santa Barbara attempted 31 3-pointers, making 13, while only scoring 10 field goals.
GO FIGURE A SURE THING LIKE THAT FLAMING OUT!!

*VCU -5 Dominated Towson almost every time in their house and this looks like an infamous road trap aka BG last night but will once again go with the numbers here. VCU SLAUGHTER GM @ GM and TOWS GOT SLAUGHTERED @ GM just for starters. Sans a Utah St. type freak play this should be solid.
**EVV +4.5 NI is top shelf but the "Throbbing Purple Aces" are murder at home and have 5 starters all averaging in double figures. They could just win this one outright!

(Even if Thugverson plays and gets 50pts he always comes out cold and gets hot in the 2nd half) Minn is embarrassed to say the LEAST! They will begin a winning streak soon and will try and jump on the PLUS $$ wagon when it starts. Slow start like last year.

Hate to EVER PLAY FOR OR AGAINST THE "BACKDOOR BOYZ" but this is just too good of a spot for even old #8 to pass up on. Unless there is a "Brown Out" to distract him!!!!!!!!!!
