      Akron won seven of its last nine games, but is 2-3 on road; home side is 4-2 in their last six games vs Toledo which starts five seniors but is just 4-6, albeit 2-0 at home. Zips won pair of 3-pt decisions in series last yr

      Buffalo is supposed to be a MAC favorite, but they're 0-2 thus far, and now visit Central Michigan, where they lost last three visits by 21,9,4 points. Chippewas allowed 82 ppg in their first two MAC games (1-1).

      Butler won its last seven games vs Wisc-Milwaukee, with Panthers losing last three visits to this site by 15-8 5 points. Bulldogs lost five of last seven games, though, while UWM won five of its last six, losing first league game vs Detroit last time out.

      Marshall lost seven of last eight games and is already 0-2 in MAC; they lost last four games vs this foe, with losses at home by 6,5 points. Home side is 7-2 in last nine series games. Bowling Green is 2-2 on the road.

      DePaul lost its last six trips to Cincinnati by 23-23-21-17-8-15 points; they're 5-1 in last six games, but 2-1 on road. Bearcats got first loss in last game, losing to top-ranked Illinois by 21 in high school gym in Vegas.

      Miami won its last eight games; this is their first-ever ACC game. 'canes are 2-0 on road, but Georgia Tech lost brutal OT game at Kansas Saturday. Elder has bad hamstring but Tech already has nine wins by 19+.

      Cleveland State lost its last six trips to Wright State by 15-3-9-15-13-16 points. Vikings lost their last six tilts and are 1-5 on road. Raiders lost five of last seven, so obviously, not much to choose from in this game.

      Nevada won its last five games, allowing just 54 ppg, but they visit Louisiana Tech squad that is 3-0 at home and thats won five of last seven games. Visitor is 4-2 in last six series games, unusual for WAC play.

      Fresno State won four of its last five trips to SMU, as they're 9-1 in last ten series games; Bulldogs are 2-0 in WAC, 2-1 overall on road. SMU is 3-1 at home; they split their first two WAC games, both OT road games.

      Florida International lost five of last six visits to Little Rock, with three of last four losses there by six or less points. Last six series games were all won by nine or less points. UALR beat Southern Illinois by 17 at home so they must be pretty good here.

      Loyola won its first Horizon games, ending eight-game losing streak. Home team won seven of last eight tilts in this crosstown rivalry, with Flames losing last two visits here by 7,6 points. UIC is 2-5 in iots last seven games and 0-3 vs spread in Horizon play thus far.

      Wisc-Green Bay won seven of its last nine games, but only two of their eight wins this year are by more than eight points. Youngstown lost nine of last ten and lost all three road games, by 36-24-21 points.

      Indiana State won its last six games vs Illinois St, with last three wins at this site by 10-2-7 points. Sycamores lost last four games, though and are 0-5 on road, with three of the five losses by six or less points.

      South Alabama lost four of last five games and is 0-5 on road, with losses by 31-20-2-14-8 points; they lost last four visits to Jonesboro by 2-8-1-20 points. ASU is 7-1 at home. Jaguars on road with no senior starters

      Dysfunctional Memphis just 6-5, despite having four starters back from 22-8 squad; they're 2-3 on road. Texas is 10-2, with eight wins by 15+ points. Horns are 7-0 at home; they open Big 12 play this weekend.

      UCSB lost six of last nine games; faves are 3-0 against spread in their league games. Gauchos are 1-5 on road but only two of those losses were by more than 15 pts. Utah State is 5-0 at home, with four wins by 14+ pts.

      Rice is 7-0 at home, 0-3 on road; they lost last two visits to El paso by 22,16 points. UTEP won seven of last eight games and is 5-1 at home; they won by 26 vs Princeton, which lost at Duke last night by 13.

      Tulsa on road for first time with interim coach; they're 1-7 in last eight games, 0-2 in WAC, with losses by 6 and 12 (ot), both at home. Boise lost three of its last 4 games. Home side is 5-1 in last six series games.

      Stanford is 2-5 in last seven games and is 0-2 Pac-10 but they won five of last six vs Arizona State at this site and ten of last 12 overall in series. Sun Devils are 7-3; they lost to rival Arizona last week, but have all five starters back from last year, and aren't a bad club.

      St Mary's has Gonzaga coming in Saturday, so they have to guard vs letdown with 11-4 Portland in town; Pilots are 1-5 in last six visits to Moraga, with losses by 19-2-9-15 points. Home side 6-2 last 8 in series.

      Visitor is 4-2 in Northridge-Irvine series, with six of last seven series games won by seven or less points. CSUN is 0-4 on road, but they led at half when they played at Oklahoma. Irvine is 5-1 in last six games.

      Idaho won two of last three games following 0-6 start; they split last eight games vs Cal Poly, which is 0-4 on road, with all four losses by 17+ points. Two of the last three series meetings at this site went into overtime.

      Riverside is 0-5 on road, wioth all five losses by 13 or more points; they're 1-4 in last five games, but split its last four visits to Fullerton, where Titans are 5-4, with three wins by seven or less points.

      Pacific lost its last five visits to Long Beach, but 49ers are 1-8 this year- five of their last seven losses are by nine or less points, but they're still 1-8. Tigers are 3-0 in Big West, with wins by 13-6-21 points, all at home

      Arizona won three of last four visits to Haas Pavilion, but wins were by 4-2-10 points, so this is always a tough game for Lute, who is playing just his third road tilt of season. Cal allowed 66 or less points in nine of 11 games; they're 7-4, 1-1 in Pac-10 so far.

      Washington is Top 20 team, but they've lost their last four visits to USC by 13-19-26-20 points, as they're 1-7 in last eight vs Trojans. Would expect to see some show by national champ football team on campus, too, as USC still celebrating Orange Bowl win.

      Washington State lost last five visits to Pauley Pavilion by 39-7-18-12-15 points; they lost 100-61 last year. UCLA is young but 6-0 at home. Wazoo is weird club that wins close games, but can be blown out; they lost 81-29 at Oklahoma State last month.

      Gonzaga is in crosshairs of every WCC team, even the Santa Clara Broncos, who lost six of last seven games overall and are 2-13 in last 15 series games. Zags have bigger game at St Mary's Saturday; they're 10-2, with eight wins by ten or more points.

      Canisius lost last eight games, four by 14+ points; their only win is over equally-awful St Bonaventure. Brown is 6-5 after hanging tough for while vs Providence in a loss earlier this week.

      St Peter's is allowing 86.7 ppg in its three MAAC tilts, so they play no defense; they lost last six games against Niagara by 12-point average, losing last three here by 23-14-9 points. Peacocks are 1-2 in league play.

      Morehead State is 1-4 on road, with all four losses by 18+ points; they lost last two games vs Murray State by 14,22 points. Murray is 0-3 if they allow 67+ pts; they're 5-4 overall. Morehead won two of last three at this site.

      Eastern Illinois is 0-5 on road, with last four losses all by 18+ points; they lost last three visits to Tennessee Tech by 5-3-17 points. Tech is 5-1 in last six series games, 5-4 overall. Morehead is 4-7 overall.

      Tennessee State is 3-8, 0-7 on road; they lost last four games but split pair with Jacksonville State last year, with home side winning both.

      Eastern kentucky is 8-3 this year; they lost last three at Tennessee-Martin by 5-10-2 points. Home side won five of last six series games, with four oif the six being won by five or less points, or in OT. Martin lost seven of its last eight games.

      Austin Peay is 1-9, despite playing lot of home games; they won last six games vs SE Missouri, winning last three at this site by 33-13-2 points. Indians are 1-4 on road, with three of four losses by 7 or less points.

      Montana won four of last five games vs Idaho State, winning last two at this site by total of five points; their only loss was by point in last year's Big Sky tourney. Grizzlies are 1-6 on the road this season.

      Montana State is 0-4 on road, with three of losses by 17+ points; they lost last two visits to Ogden by 8,17 points. Weber State lost seven of last eight games, as they appear headed for rare down year.

      Sacramento State lost eight of last ten games; they lost last three visits to Portland State by 3-13-4 pts. Host won its last five games, all by 11+ points. Home side won five of last six series games. Hornets are 0-6 on road, with six losses by 12 or more points.

      Eastern Washington won its last four games in series vs Northern Arizona by average of ten points, winning last two at this site by 23,10 points, but Eagles lost eight of last nine games, losing to horrible Idaho team Tuesday

        Thursday's games
        Pacers @ Spurs-- Indiana won their last four games, as O'Neal has been on fire, scoring 55 points in last game and team is allowing just 83.8 ppg. Spurs won ten of last twelve games and are 12-4 as home favorite, with five straight ******. Under is 3-0 in last four Spur tilts and 4-1 in last five Indiana road games. Home team won both games last year, with average total, 172.5.


        Elsewhere, Seattle got squashed by Orlando last night, just their sixth loss in last 28 games; Sonics are 5-1 when they played night before. Wizards won four of last five games, with all five going over total. Seattle is now 6-1 in its last seven road contests.

        Memphis won its last four games; they beat Detroit by 4 last month, holding Pistons to 36% from floor. Detroit is 4-9 vs spread in last 13 games, 2-7 in last nine as home fave; seven of their last nine home games stayed under.
