NBA UNDERDOG CONTEST
BC has been kind enough to let us use the site again as we did for the Bowl Battle!
Entry Fee: $50 payable through PayPal, check or moneyorder.
Payouts: To be determined based on the number of players.
Starting Date: Monday, January 24th
Ending Date: End of regular season
Rules: Players will make 5 picks per week. Losses do not count against the player. Players pick an underdog that they think will win the game straight up. The player with the most money one will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, most games won will be used to break the tie. The contest will run through the end of the regular season. I will post the lines that will be used for grading daily.
The following is a scoring example:
Day One Example lines:
Indiana +$225 @ Detroit
Sacramento +$175 @ Phoenix
Houston +$275 @ Seattle
Lets say that only Sacramento won their game out of these three and my picks were Indiana, Sacramento and Houston. For the day I would have 1 win for +$175 the losses do not count against me, but I did use three of my picks so that would only leave me with 2 picks for the rest of the week. So my record would look like this after day one:
1 win +$175 (with 3 of 5 picks used for the week)
Day two Example lines:
Celtics +$150 @ Milwuakee
Jazz +$175 @ Dallas
Houston +$175 @ Portland
If on day two my picks were Utah and Boston and only the Celtics won their game then I would have 1 win for the day for +$150 and my record after two days would now be at:
2 wins +$325 (with 5 of 5 picks used for the week)
You just keep adding on to your money won and the losses do not go against you. But I would be done for the week having used all 5 of my weekly picks.
Also remember that there will not be lines on every game. Some very high spread lines will not have money lines nor will some pick 'em games. Email me if you are interested or have any questions. You can get me email from my website or from BC or Wayne.
