Note: We are certainly happy that we got on this one early 3 weeks ago. There are a number of reasons why we like the Sooners in this game. Sooner failed miserably last year with LSU and we have got to feel it was huge learning experience. Being to the Big Dance last year will help them with all of the hoopla that follows an event like this. One of the key reasons is the high ankle injury to USC power runner LenDale White. White is critical to USC since the loss of 3rd string RB Davis. White will play but there is no way he is even close to 100% and he is a big cog in the Trojan Offense. The other key is the strength of schedule. USC was outgained and outplayed by Cal this year, but as we found out late in the season, Cal was not the team everyone thought they were. The fact is, there is lot's of hype about how good the Pac 10 is, but the fact is, they are not. USC has not seen a Defense like Oklahoma this year and they will not be able to throw the ball at will. We actually look for some pretty large mistakes from the Heisman Trophy Winner himself. Guess what Leinart? This ain't Stanford!
