  • Is 13-1 ATS a good record for bowls so far?

If you like the sound of that, you need to play:
    Alabama
    Arizona State
    Louisville
    Miami

Why? Because 13 of 14 games (with Troy pending and LEADING 14-0) have been won by the team with the better Pass Defense! Right off the NCAA stats website. Wyoming covered a 12 point spread and actually gave up an average of 213.91 to UCLA's 213.18. The only loser? UTEP, by a single point (+4, lost 33-28). I went against this today with New Mexico and California and got burned.

GL to any who choose to fade this(!!)

Stats for Friday (YPG in parentheses):

    Pass D: Ala #1 (116), Minn #112 (268)
    Rush D: Ala #26 (119), Minn #49 (140)
    Total D: Ala #2 (236), Minn #86 (409)

    Pass D: Purdue #79 (228), Ariz St #83 (232)
    Rush D: Purdue #10 (100), Ariz St #35 (128)
    Total D: Purdue #30 (328), Ariz St #48 (360)

    Pass D: Boise #103 (255), Louis #32 (197)
    Rush D: Boise #4 (83), Louisville #20 (111)
    Total D: Boise #39 (339), Louis #18 (308)

    Pass D: Miami #9 (165), Fla #49 (206)
    Rush D: Miami #67 (156), Fla #54 (145)
    Total D: Miami #26 (321), Fla #46 (352)

If you want proof of all previous bowls this year, say so and I will post them.

Actually, you are correct. However, based upon the Wyoming-UCLA game (and very close Pass D stats), if Purdue as a fav goes up significantly, may need to take a look at the points.

Here are past bowl games thi season. r=rush yards allowed per game, p = passing yards allowed, total = total YPG.

AS YOU WILL NOTICE EVERY WINNER IN THE BOWLS SO FAR HAD THE BETTER PASS-D, even wyoming where the pass-d was = to ucla's but wyoming had better rush D and they were at +12 in the spread....look for yourself

                    Nice Info!

Nice Info and insights man......i wish it could be as easy as this......

Some of the games, so far, the refs are getting too way involved......oh well....can't cap that.

Some really close calls in the passing defense stats.....tells me could go either way.....what about offensive stats? passing verusus rushing? I wonder if there's any trend in that.

                    Thanks again!!

                    Aloha!
