Raiders (5-9) @ Chiefs (6-8)- KC scored 42.7 ppg in winning last three games (15 TD's on last 33 drives), and Raiders don't give you great effort every week, so could be big Chief win vs Oakland team that is 1-3 vs spread after a win this season. In first meeting, 34-27 Chief win three weeks ago, Chiefs outrushed Raiders 160-30, and won without a takeaway. Over is 6-2 in last eight Raider games, 7-2 in last nine Chief games, with last four going over. Chiefs outscored last three foes 76-31 in 2nd half.

Broncos (8-6) @ Titans (4-10)- Denver lost three of last four games, as Plummer quickly wearing out his Mile High welcome (eight picks in last three games). Titans scored 32 ppg in last four weeks and went 0-4, so if Jake can't put 30 up and win this game, its lights out for Shanahan, who has yet to win post-Elway playoff game. Titans try all the tricks, fake punts, field goals, reverses on punts, but their defense is shot, allowing 14 TD's on last 37 drives. Tennessee is an unsightly 1-5 at home this season.

        Saturday's games

Heat @ Lakers-- Key to this game is that Butler is out for this game for Lakers; he punched a Hornet player, and is suspended. Shaq's Heat won its last ten games and is 10-4 vs spread on the road. Lakers are 2-3 in last five games and 3-6 in last nine tries as home fave. Obviously, lot of drama, lot of hype for this game, the most eagerly-awaited regular season game in long time so up to point guards to settle things down. Wouldn't want to be Vlade or Mihm today, because Shaq will be fired up for this one.

Elsewhere, Jermaine O'Neal returns to Pacer lineup after his suspension was shortened; this is first meeting in this rival since infamous brawl over a month ago, which was at end of Pacer win in Auburn Hills. Indy covered just 2 of last ten games; dogs are 10-2 vs spread in their home games. Pistons covered one of last seven games; they're 4-8 vs spread on the road.
