  • Caution!

NFL Year to Date: 38-29-2 (+30.0 Units)

    Green Bay/Jacksonville total
Just wanted to caution inexperienced players. The total on the Green Bay game opened at 41.5. It has tumbled all the way to 36. Presumably, the betting public is reacting to the projected cold weather (-3 at 6:00 AM) in Green Bay. Be careful!

I am not saying this game won't go under. However, it is WIND,NOT COLD that primarily affects a total in a football game. The winds at Lambeau are projected to diminish to less than 10 MPH by gametime. (Contrast this to 25 MPH winds last week).

Again, not trying to sway anyone here. Just encouraging inexperienced players to think through the game rather than blindly jumping aboard a popular "UNDER" play today.
    For what it's worth.....

I agree 100%. Last year I did some research on cold weather games. It was about a 50/50 split. Wind is a huge factor. Cold is NOT.

I think this game goes over. GB needs this game, Green and Favre play well in the cold, GB D not that good, and as stated earlier no wind in GB just cold and will be a little warmer for the late game.

This thread is a good example of what makes this site great. Sharing of valuable info. Another thread was created yesterday implying playing the Under in cold weather cities and playing against warm weather teams.

There were four games yesterday in cold weather cities, Chicago, GB, Cinn and Cleveland.

The game total in those four cities split 2/2. The Unders were attributed to the home team getting shutout in one game and scoring only 5 points in the other. All three warm weather teams won SU.
