Hey Wayne - A lot of us have fun with the Custom Avatars .

I think you need to allow permission for custom avatars
I looked around the vbulletin site and found the above link, and if you could, I'd really appreciate it if you could turn on Permission to use Custom Avatars somewhere in the ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL PANEL
I know many of the other members would love it if you could step in and see what you can do.
