  • Early NFL catch for sat. 12/18

One of my bigger plays of the week. Before the line fluxuates at all I dropped a pretty penny on Pittsburgh -10. 96% have sided with pitt, and I'm sure it will rise to 10.5 maybe 11 by saturday morning. So here is an early play while you can catch it:

    NFL 12/18 1:30 PM

    10*** Pittsburgh Steelers -10

If it moves to 10.5, make sure you buy the 0.5 pt!

G/L all, and as always lets bring it home!:angryfire

      Question?

      ChiChi,
Follow your plays every week, you do a great job & I really appreciate the contributions you make to this forum. I don't understand, however, how you can rate Pittsburgh as a 10* (your highest rated star picks) & encourage everybody to buy the half point? I would figure that you feel Pittsburgh will cover the spread quite easily, rating it a 10*.
Just wondering what your thoughts are.

      Thanks again,

          WOW!!!!

That is a pretty ballsy play, going against a double-digit home underdog in the NFL. The giants defense is ranked pretty high statistically. Good luck man.

In regards to buying the 0.5 point. It is strictly for insurance, to be safe. You don't have to buy the point, but by it being at -10 rather than -10.5 it makes the play much stronger. I'm confident in the play at -10 through -13 but that doesn't mean you shouldn't catch it at -10 in case something out of the ordinary happens. I stand by the play period from -10 to -13, but its always best to have that extra assurance, just in case. If it rises to -11+, I wouldn't encourage in buying the 1+ points to make it 10, but for an extra 10% juice at (-120), its a bit cheaper.

For saturday NFL, I also like Redskins -5.5. I believe the Skins defense will be too much for Dorsey.

The more Ramsey plays, the better the Redskins offense looks.

As for Falcon/Panthers... I'm not gonna touch it, but I'll cheer for the panthers

Sure its a ballsy play, but we're talking about a Giants team who is 2-4 at home, and plagued with injuries. Norman Hand, Gibril Wilson are OUT for Saturday's game. Barret Green is questionable and might not play as well. Jamaar Taylor their speed WR is also out for Saturday. The Giants Defense looks decent statistically sure, but also consider what teams they've played this year. Only 4 out 13 teams they've played this year we're strong teams offensively. They rank 25th against the run and 6th against the pass. What do the Steelers love to do? They will pound the ball on the Giants all day and then set up the play action.

Most likely Eli Manning will get the call on Saturday, if he does, I don't expect him to have a turn around game against a no.1 ranked Steelers defense. The Giants offense will not be able to create drives long enough to keep their defense off the field; fatigue will be a significant factor as it has been in the past 3 games where the Giants have lost the past 3 games by an average of 22.6 points.

Keep in mind, the Steelers must win another game to recieve a 1st round bye in the playoffs, so they will not take this game lightly.

Like I said, I stand by the play up to -13, its your choice to buy the points or not, regardless it is a very solid play.

Your right but I think the Giant O is so bad that the D will be on the field so much that they will get worn down (like the Jet D). The Giant O-Line is horrible and the Steelers D is the best in the NFL. I see alot of 3 and outs, the Steelers blitzing alot and putting 9 in the box to let the kid beat you passing.

NEVER buy 10.5 down to 10. It's a very poor investment. In 15+ seasons only four 10.5 favorites have won by 10 points. The player is risking 10%.

Search for my thread the Point buying bible. There's a handful of lines that are to the players advantage when buying points. Don't give the house any added advantages.
