Wednesday NCAA Hoops and NBA - 12/15

A down day yesterday, losing the New Orleans Bowl and going 2-2 in hoops. Let get back on track tonight. These are my plays for Wednesday....



NCAA Hoops



3 STAR: WAKE FOREST (-27) OVER Elon

An ass kicking is coming here! Elon lost at home this season to NC State by 25. Wake Forest has beaten Elon that last two seasons by 42 points in each game (97-55 and 98-56) so look for similar results here as Elon returns all five starters from last seasons team. Wake Forest is also 3-0 against the spread as a home favorite of 24-30 points the last three seasons. Lay the chalk!


2 STAR: NC STATE (-20) OVER UL Lafayette

Another mismatch here. ULL lost at Kansas by 45 points and the Wolfpack have been feasting on these shity teams at home, beating all of them by 30 or more points and they beat a Manhattan team that is much better than ULL by 16 points. ULL is 0-3 against the spread versus the ACC and just 4-7 against the spread in their last 11 games as a road dog of more than 12 points. Lay the chalk again!


1 STAR: DePaul (-1) OVER NORTHWESTERN

This will most likely be a close game with Northwestern being at home, but the Wildcats are just not a very good team. DePaul is a much more athletic team and they have beaten Northwestern the last two seasons. Northwestern is also only 1-5 against the spread as a home underdog of three points or less the last three seasons. Take the Blue Demons here!

Depaul a close game?

Please somebody tell me why Depaul shouldn't blow Northwestern out!!! Depaul dominated Notre Dame in South Bend!!! I love the spread so low because I like Depaul, but I'm scared because Vegas loves these trap spreads, The money is gonna be heavy on Depaul!! so why isn't the spread higher???

great post. I think that this is one of those times where vegas feels very confident in there line and won't move it much at all if any. another game like this was the phil/wash nfl game this past weekend. you had to think that everyone was going to bet a strong phily team after everyone saw them destroy the packers the previous sunday. so vegas was solid on their 9.5 until some late wiseguy money moved the lined to -8 at kickoff.

I would look at northwestern in this situation. I feel another trap spread is here.
