Hope they are helping bear Glad to do it...

This is Finals Week in most colleges, so not only do you have final exams, but you also have new players becoming eligible, after first semester ends; it gets hard to keep track of all the personnel comings and goings.

Fordham is improved at 3-3, with 33-0 run Saturday vs Fairfield, but their losses are by 15-16-14 points. Villanova has all five starters back from last year, but can they escape chaos that plagued program lately?

South Florida went to injury-riddled Michigan and still lost by 9; they lost earlier 78-72 at Richmond. Carolina has Saturday date at Kansas, so they could be looking ahead here. Bulls start five seniors.

Harvard won two of last three games vs Fairfield, they lost 65-60 to Stags last year. Fairfield allowed a 33-0 run in horrid loss at Fordham; they're 1-3 in last four games. At 4-4, Stags have amazing three OT wins.

Siena is road favorite at 1-7; go figure; Youngstown is 0-4 vs D-I teams, losing all four games by 16+ points. Siena has trouble scoring points; they're 0-4 in away games, allowing 80.5 ppg.

Southern Illinois won 79-72 at Nutter Center last year Salukis are 2-0 at home, winning by 23,9 points- they start four seniors. Raiders lost three of last four games only one of their four losses is by more than 12 points.

Duke pounded Toledo Sunday night, 82-54; Rockets have all five starters back from last year, so could be long night for UIC squad that won three of last four tilts and is 2-1 on foreign soil- they lost at home to Georgia Tech by a point, so they might not be in awe, but road is lot different than home, sweet home.

Santa Clara lost 98-89 at winless Cal Poly Sunday; if you can figure that out, for team that has wins against No Carolina and Stanford- they're 5-0 at home. Cal-Irvine has been off ten days; they're 2-2, with losses by 20,11 points.

St Mary's beat San Diego State 80-66 in Moraga last year, as 3-point favorites. Aztecs are 3-3 dpesite just one road game; they scored 63 ppg in last two losses. Gaels just back from Hawaii, where they lost Saturday

Eastern Washington beat Boise State last two years by 5,6 points; Eagles are 2-4, 1-3 on road, with losses by 18-16-33 points away from home. Broncos are 2-0 in game following loss so far this season.

    Tuesday's games
Hornets @ Bobcats-- Hornets return to Charlotte for first time since skipping town; at 1-18, with ten losses in row, who would be sad that they left? New Orleans is 7-3 vs spread on road, though. Bobcats are off 0-4 roadtrip; they're 5-2 vs spread in last seven home tilts. Over is 7-1 thus far in Charlotte home games.

Elsewhere, 76ers won and covered last two games after six-game skid; their last three games went over. Denver won both series meetings last year, by 21,9 points; they are 10-3 in last 13 games, four of last five went over.

Pacers won all four games vs Atlanta last year, with wins at this site by 4,3 points, but these Pacers lost seven in a row, covering just one of last six. Hawks split last four games after 2-10 start; eight of their last 11 went over.

Knicks, Nets meet for first time since Jersey swept NY out of playoffs last spring; Jersey won four of last five, as Kidd's return breathes life into dead team. Knicks lost 4 of their last six games, but covered 7 of last 8 at home.

Kings beat Milwaukee 88-79 in first meeting, as they had +12 edge in FT's tried at Arco. Bucks lost last ten times they allowed more than 90 points, a figure Kings hit in sleep (12 of last 13 games), but failed to in game last month.

Trailblazers won three of four vs Minnesota last year, as they split games at this site; average total in four games was 177.5. Portland is 1-4 vs spread in last five contests 3-5 vs spread in last eight on road. T'Wolves split last four game, after winning the five games before that.

Dallas barely escaped United Center with win last night, allowing Bulls to shoot 53% from floor, but shooting 17 more FT's than host; they're 7-3 in last ten games, 4-2 if they had game night before. Warriors 1-6 vs spread in their last seven road games.

Clippers had tough double OT loss last night, as three of them played 44+ minutes; they're 1-3 vs spread in last four games, with three of those four going over. Jazz lost seven of last eight games, with four of five staying under.

Lakers won three of four vs Sonics last year, going 1-1 at this site, with those two games decided by a total of 3 three points. Sonics won eight of last ten games; they're 6-3 vs spread at home. LA is 5-2 in its last seven games.

North Texas is underdog in this game for fourth straight year, but with Southern Miss having played Cal on the 4th, its almost not like a bowl game for USM, since they only have twelve days in between games, it has to be an advantage for the Eagles, in terms of sharpness. North Texas last played on November 20, so they will have 24 days in between games, which is a long time.

Southern Miss lost its last two bowls, and was shut out in Liberty Bowl by Utah last year, 17-0. North Texas is 1-2 in this game, with all three decided by ten or more points. Mean Green is 0-3 vs spread this year vs teams with winning records.

Southern Miss is only 90 or so miles from New Orleans; they beat Tulane on this field in September, 32-14; they want to end their two-bowl losing streak, while North Texas is excited to be playing a stronger opponent than they face in Sun Belt play.

One of North Texas' backup QB's died in a car accident in August; would guess they are dedicating this game to his memory. UNT has one of the best RB's in nation in Thomas, who scored 17 TD's this season.
