Taking Wake Forest -8 over Temple
Temple is a well coached team coming into tonites action off a great effort against 18th ranked Alabama, but fell 4 points short. It took a Hurculean effort from freshman guard Tyndal with 22pts and 7 reb, which led his team in both catagories, and 12 3's as a team.
Temple plays tough and is 2-1 ATS in the last three. Last time out they were an 11 pt dog and was bet to 12 and now vs. a higher ranked team they are getting 7'-8. Normally I would lean towards Temple in this situation, but they are now playing their 3rd game in 6 days and their last game before a break for finals. Temple has been outrebounded in each game played.
Wake has one of the best guard combos (Grey & Paul) in college and with their athleticism and quickness Temple will have problems playing their match-up zone. Wake coach Prosser comes from Xavier, an AT10 school and knows this zone. He is 5-5 against Temple with less talent. WF has already beaten 2 better teams from the At10 conf. GW(the only team in A10 above 500) by 12 and Richmond by 17.
A well rested WF team with exams behind them should get past Temple. Rebounding and guard play will be the difference.
