One more thing. One of my best friends is a baseball writer and had a vote for the hall of fame. Now the baseball Hall is the last one with true credibility since it's hard to get in and they don't vote women (Carol Blazejowski?) or owner's offspring (DAN ROONEY!!!???) in. However, I'm having trouble getting through the thick skull of guys like this that did not vote for the fourth greatest 2nd baseman of ALL-TIME even though this player has more homers than ANY 2nd bagger in history and the BEST fielding % in history! I'm speaking of Ryno, of course. How can one convince the numbskulls that they are dumber than dumb?
I already told him that Ryno's career took place (with the exception of two years) BEFORE the juiced-ball era (1994 to present.) I figured a true baseball fan could give some advice...

but Ryno was awesome and will be in the Hall one day


Just to let everybody know - - the most gifted player in the big leagues is Vladimir Guerrero - - he is a freak and will put up MONSTER numbers in the next couple of years

Casheasy, I agree w/ the comments on the baseball hall, but thought they cheapened it a little by letting in Ozzie Smith. People will go there in 40 years and wonder how the hell a .260 career hitter got in. Sure he was great on D, but the Hall should be for all around players.

Just wanted to sound off on that as it bugs the hell out of me!
