  • 3 for Sunday

2-2 yesterday and now 4-2 posting here. 3 plays in college hoops for me today.

    VCU/Wilmington U127
Both games last year between these 2 clubs were under 127 points with Wilmington winning at home 72-52 and VCU winning at home 49-41. Neither team bring back any reliable scoring options. Wilmington's top returning scorer from last year is Ed Spencer (8.7). VCU lost there top 2 scoring options from last year in Domonic Jones (16.3 ppg) and Troy Godwin (11.8 ppg). I just can't see either team putting up more then 60-65 points so I think the under here is solid play.

    Chattanooga +12
I mentioned in my post last Thursday that Chattanooga's frontcourt would control the boards vs VaTech and they did. They outrebounded the Hokies 45-21 and had a chance to win the game outright. While I don't see them dominating the boards by that big of margin in this game I still give Chattanooga the advantage in the paint. Tennesee is coming off a win vs Wofford in that game they actually trailed by 4 at the half before fighting back to win by 6. I don't know if Chattanooga can pull of the upset here but I think they keep this one in single digits.

    Boston College -5
I think I might be in the minority on this one but I really like this play. I think Boston College is very underated by the public. There not flashy but they know how to get it done. BC will also have the best player on the court tonight. Craig Smith put up staggering numbers for the Eagles in 2003-04 as he shot 55.3 percent from the floor and dropped in 16.9 ppg as a result. BC just to physical in the paint against a inexperienced UCLA team. BC by 10-12 points on the road!
