    Saturday's games
    Underdogs covered seven of last nine Va Tech-Miami games, with Hokies 7-2 in last nine, 3-1 at this site; Tech covered road finale in 14 of last 21 years. Tech won its last seven games; they have +15 turnover ratio in last six they covered as 18-pt dog vs USC in season opener, only time they were dog this season. Miami is 5-4 as the favorite this season; five of their last six games went over

    Navy won four of its last five games vs Army, winning last two by combined score of 92-18. Favorites covered last three in this intense rivalry. Army is 2-8, but 5-4 as a dog; they allowed 33.5 ppg in losing last four games. The Middies are 8-2, and were held to 10,9 points in their losses- they are 2-3 as favorite this season.

    USC won its last six games by average score of 41-10 since scare vs Cal; they won last five games vs UCLA by average score of 36-17. Bruins are 2-1 as a dog this season; they scored average of 34.7 ppg in those three games. Seven of their last nine games went over total. In their four losses, UCLA allowed average of 38.8 ppg.

    Hawaii beat Northwestern last week; now they need win over another Big 11 team to clinch bowl bif. At 5-6, this is Michigan State's bowl game; they lost three of last four games, allowing 32 ppg- they're 2-4 as favorite so far in this season. Hawaii won its last six home games, but got killed in their road games; host covered eight of their last nine games.

    The next four games were rescheduled to today........

    California is barely hanging on to last BCS slot ahead of Texas, so they will score as many points as they can here question is, can they get that far ahead? Bears won last six games since USC loss, four by 27+ points. Southern Miss was 4-0 at one point, but has lost three of its last four games; three of their four losses are by 24+ points, but their QB was hurt for while in there, and now hes back. USM is 2-1 as an underdog this season.

    Pitt will face Utah in Fiesta Bowl if they win here; they've won five of last six games, but one of those five wins was by more than five points. Panthers are favored for just fourth time this season (2-1). Bulls allowed 76 points in losing last two games, but those were against offenses than Pitt's; they're 2-5 as underdog this season.

    Louisville won and covered four of last five games vs the Green Wave; they won last five games since bitter loss to Miami by average score of 57-22. Tulane could go to bowl if they pulled this upset; they've won their last three games, scoring 40.7 ppg; in their last five games, they have three wins as double digit underdog.

    Florida Atlantic beat Florida International the last two years, 31-21, 32-23; they outgained FIU 365-332 last year, in game they needed to make I-AA playoffs. Owls split last six games after 5-0 start; underdog covered five of their six lined games. In their three losses, Owls have a total of three points in first half.

    Auburn won 34-10 in Knoxville on October 2, racing to 31-3 lead at half, as they picked ooff five passes, and they face Clausen, #3 Vol QB here. Eight of the last nine SEC title games were won by 10+ points, with Auburn 0-2 in title game, Tennessee 2-1 (last win, '98). Vols' D allowed 33, 31 points in last two games vs Vandy, Kentucky; were they playing possum for this game? Auburn 7-1-1 vs spread in last nine games.

    Oklahoma beat Colorado last year, year before, 34-20 and then 27-11 and 29-7; they did not play this year. Total yardage in last year's game, which Buffs covered, was 434-227 in Sooners' favor. Third Big 12 title game in row for the Sooners; they lost 35-7 to dog K-State last year. Colorado is in for third time in last four years; they lost 29-7 to Sooners two years ago, but pulled big upset year before, 39-37 over Texas. Game is outside and at night, so weather likely to be a factor
