  • For All Red Sox Fans

I just purchased and watched the DVR Video entitled Faith Rewarded, which is a highlights film of the 2004 Sox season.
It was marvelous and well done and brought tears of joy to my eyes.
It is replete with interviews, etc. and tells a picture of what this wonderful team is all about.
It lasts about 1 1/2 hours and is must see even if you are not a Sox fan;you have heard of Locks of the Year in gambling;well this is my 5* sports documentary of the year.(It was made by NESN).
    I purchased mine at Walmart.
ps I also just purchased the official World Series Video and will review it as soon as I watch it.

This thread should be in the Non-Gambling Issues forum along with the other chit-chat.
The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.

                    Duke-no problem.
In any case it probably would have been better to post it in the non-gambling section.

I just want to let everyone who is interested know that I just finished watching the official 2004 World Series DVD and found it really well done as was the Faith Rewarded one.
While there is a little bit of repetition in the two DVD'S, they are both different enough to warrant purchasing and watching each one..
Obviously if you are a big Sox fan as I am, the World Series DVD will mean more to you than if you are not, as it is more about the Red Sox than the Cardinals or even the World Series for that matter.
As is the case with the Faith Rewarded DVD, it traces the Sox season before it even focuses on the World Series.
There are plenty of great and funny scenes along with great lines from players such as Kevin Millar.
The DVD puts plenty of emphasis on big hits, plays and big moments in each of the playoff games beginning with the first round series against Anaheim culminating in Game 7 against St. Louis and the proceeding celebrations, interviews, parade, etc.
As is the case with the first video, there is also plenty of emphasis put on the jubilation of the fans watching this very happy, joyous and momentous event unfold.
All fans can relate to the DVD, but for me as a diehard Sox fan for 52 years, this video along with the first one are and will be treasured possessions, as it recounts and brings back all of the happiness I enjoyed during this season and post season.
I am not a movie reviewer, but I personally would give tbis video and the first one very high accolades, and I strongly suggest that if you are a true baseball fan and especially a Red Sox fan that you purchase/ watch both of them.
As someone said, either one of them would make great Christmas or Chanuka gifts.
Sorry if I went on too long about this whole matter, but keep in mind it dwarfs in comparison for the 86 years of waiting for the city of Boston and for me as stated previously 52 years.
ps In Western Mass. where I reside this DVD is available just about everywhere you go, Walmart, 7-11, CVS, etc.
I am sure though that since this event is of historical proportions, you won't have any trouble finding them no matter where you live.
