I've been a member for awhile but have not been posting my plays at this forum so not gonna post my record. I'll start today and go from there. 1 play for tonight.
TN-Chatanooga +9
Va Tech has no low post game to speak of now that Bryant Matthews(22.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game) has moved on. Chatanooga's frontcourt is in good hands thanks to Chris Brown, Alphonso Pugh and Mindaugas Katelynas. Pugh averaged 11.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg a year ago and is the leading returnee in both categories. As for Brown, a swingman who shot nearly 40 percent from behind the arc, he netted 10.6 ppg in 2003-04. Katelynas has the best size of the trio at 6-9 and should be able to lead the way on the boards for the Mocc's tonight. Va Tech has actually been out rebounded in every game so far this year and this will eventually catch up to them. Chatanooga comes into this game 2-1 with there only true test coming last Saturday at Ohio St. where they lost by 17 to the Buckeye's. However the Mocc's matched them in rebounds 32-33 but Ohio St shot the lights out from behind the arc Ohio State set school records for 3-pointers made and attempted making 17 out of 35. Va Tech simply doesn't have the shooters that Ohio St has and Chatanooga has the size and ability inside to at least cover the 9 if not pull off the upset.
