It truly amazing the mods shut down two threads with no controversy involved when other theads are allowed to continue well past their usefullness.
Wayne and Monte it is beyond belief that the other thread was closed. Why? It was fair opened discussion. leadhand post raised some valid points. Why can useless post after useless post be started asking the whereabouts of other members? Yet, those remain open.
In that thread Monte stated "One of the reasons people enjoy this site so much is, because of the commadre on here which is a result of the posters and balance that's kept."
I guess balance only applies when Monte see fit. Once a member disagrees with a mod the thread gets closed or worse the member gets banned.
Monte you also stated "First of all the server is closed down for un-registered users on the weekend. I don't know why there is still problems, but I will be loooking into it." I don't know the distinction between un-registered and guests. I also don't know when you implemented those changes. Until a few weeks ago on weekends I often checked the Currently Active. During crunch time on weekends it was often approx a 60/40 split. Members representing the 60%.
Your choice to moderate these threads is a curious one. It seems more like censorship than moderating.
I'm certain this thread will be closed. Quickly! Monte let other members have their say in this matter. Let them decide if the thread should be closed. Don't close a thread solely because you disagree with the content. If you do, then why don't you close every thread when you disagree with another members selection. If anything leave it open and move it to the Non-Gambling Issues forum.
This is my final word regarding this situation. As a show of respect you'll get the final word. Not that I had a choice anyway. I won't be starting anymore threads pertaining to this topic.
