The Rams had more first downs the the Packers, more third down conversions, outgained them in total yards, punted fewer times, had the ball longer, and received similar penalty yardage than Green Bay. If you watched the game, you saw that St. Louis moved the ball up and down the field well. Even with Green Bay's ability to run the ball down St. Louis' throat (231 rushing yards vs. 47 for the Rams), St. Louis should have been able to hang in this game and cover the 7.

What went wrong? Turnovers (the Rams had three, two of which were recovered for TDs and one of which occurred in the redzone), odd employment of trick plays and horrible time-out usage--each of which are familiar characteristics of Martz-led teams.

St. Louis was the right side. GB wasn't 7 points better than the Rams, but poor coaching and the familiar poor play of the Rams away from their dome doomed this pick.

Not trying to stir the pot here but that is my BIGGEST "Pet Peeve" in gambling. How was St Louis the "Right Side" when they were down 7-0 four minutes into the game then quickly down 21-3 only to lose by 28 as 7 pt. dogs???

It really doesn't matter to me what side of the game you were on here but i am driven crazy when i see someone say a losing team was the right side. If that's the case was G.B. the wrong side? It just makes NO sense to me when people say that. I've lost games and spreads by a "Hail Mary" and i still never said i was on the right side cause i was pissed that i lost!

I'm really not trying to start a debate here or crap on you for your thoughts. I just had to say my peace!

      GL Brother!

blake, kick some ass and get it back tonight brother!

          Wayne,

Point taken, as always, but consider the following:

Were the Vikings on Sunday (against Jacksonville) the right side? How about the over on Monday night? Anyone who had the Vikes on Sunday or the over on Monday wasn't bragging about the incredible handicapping ability demonstrated by his pick. He was going to church or swearing off gambling for at least a week because. . . HE WAS LUCKY AS HELL!!! Fluke plays allowed those picks to come in, and nothing more.

The Rams certainly did not fall in the same category of these plays. Green Bay kept the Rams at bay throughout the game, then blew it open at the end. I still felt that, given the offensive stats, they were the correct play. But when it comes to getting paid at the window, there really is only one right side, isn't there?

Good luck to you as well.
