Kansas (-20, play to -21.5) over Nevada - Game #715-716 - 6:00pm Pacific
The Jayhawks played at Nevada last year on a Sunday night a few days before Christmas. It was a complete setup for the Wolfpack who had their crowd in a frenzy and led by 20 at the half on their way to a 14 point win. It was a pitiful performance by Kansas, who at the time only went about 7 or 8 deep. Nevada had superstar forward Kirk Snyder who led them with 29 points in 9 rebounds and senior guard Todd Okeson who ended with a second best 12 points. Senior guard Garry Hill-Thomas (27 mins) and senior center Sean Paul (29 mins) were also major contributors that night. They have all departed as has head coach Trent Johnson to take the Stanford job. Kansas meanwhile returns 4 excellent starters and have greatly improved their depth. The Jayhawks are coming off a 40 point romp of St. Joseph's in which their starters only scored 44 points and did not play most of the second half. In head coach Bill Self's own words, KU "owes" one to Nevada. I was able to watch Nevada's last game on tape against a very bad Georgia team and I was not very impressed. They start a true freshman, Ramon Sessions, at PG and he is a good player but not yet ready for this type of competition. The Wolfpack only scored 43 points through the first 35 minutes of the game finishing with only 58 points against a badly undersized and inexperienced Bulldog team. They were a dismal 0-for-10 from behind the arc. It is highly unlikely they will be any more effective on offense tonight against a Kansas defense that is holding opponents to .319 shooting through first two games. This is also the Wolfpack's second straight road game of a long trip. Jayhawks roll at home in revenge mode.

Team Line Action - Where the money is going!
Oddsmakers move a line in part because of one-sided public betting action on a side or total. They also move the line in reaction to "wise guy's" selections. Either way, this section attempts to uncover whether the wise guys and public have a "read" on a given team. It summarizes both line and total movements. As a general rule, follow the line or total movement when percentages exceed 57% and go against it when they are below 43%.
As indicated by the movement of the line, the betting public is favoring RICE in this game

NFL: St. Louis Rams at Green Bay Packers - Rams +7 -110
Game Date: 11/29/2004
Note: Green Bay does not have enough defense to be favored by 7 points against an explosive St. Louis offense. Rams #5 in league in passing Offense, #6 in Total Offense. Packers #23 in pass defense, can't put pressure on QB and secondary young and inexperienced. Rams have issues in secondary as well, will have problems containing Favre & talented wideouts but Pack will be without the services of Ahman Green who takes pressure of the passing game. Packers have won 5 straight but are not overpowering anybody. Washington game was closer than final score and last two weeks they have squeeked out 3 point wins vs. Moss-less Vikings at home and Houston on the road. Don't forget Pacers were embarrassed by Tennessee 48-27 on MNF in Green Bay back in October. Rams are looking to get back in playoff hunt and are desperate for a win, will bring "A" game tonight. The more popular play will be the Pack tonight but we will grab the 7 points......
