NFL Record YTD: 28-22-2 (+17.2 UNITS)
4 UNITS
Indianapolis Colts (-9)
My Take:
The Lions come in having lost 4 in a row, including two hard fought road losses at Jacksonville (ot) and Minnesota (blowing a 19-7 lead with 20 minutes of play remaining). Detroit is 1-3 at home, including losses by 17 to Philadelphia and 28 to Green Bay. And those games were played when the Lions were off to their "impressive" 4-2 start.
The Colts come galloping to town having won 3 consecutive games and scoring 40.3 PPG in the process. The weaponry at Peyton Manning's disposal this year is nothing short of amazing.
The Indy machine put up 41 last week on a defense far superior to that of Detroit. And that was outoors!
I think Detroit's gas tank will prove to be empty after two very difficult losses. No one is better at silencing a crowd than Manning. Detroit's secondary won't hold up. Their offense won't keep up. Only the presence of Eddie Drummond keeps this one from being a top rated 5 unit play!
Good Luck!
