ALATEX ACC GOY +/or SEVRANSKY GOY
Can anyone help with either of these? Thanks fellas.
20* ACC Game of the Year: Alatex Sports has released a monster for Saturday -- the 20* ACC Game of the Year! Brent is up 13 units for the season, and this is his biggest college play of the week.
NCAA Game of the Year: Teddy Sevransky is releasing the biggest play of the entire season. His Big Ticket College Football Game of the Year is loaded with complete analysis.
Sevransky has been horrible all year, he lost his underdog GOY on Vandy vs Florida. I am going on a hunch he is over-due.

Louisiana Tech vs Lafayette Under 141 (play to 138) - 3:30pm Pacific
Louisiana Tech games averaged 133.5 points per game last season.Ê They have added JC transfer point guard Daevon Haskins to aÊlineup ofÊfour returning starters.Ê Haskins is the first true point guard the Bulldogs have had in a while.Ê La Tech features 6-9 super sophomore Paul Mislap who led the nation in rebounding as well as the WAC in blocked shots as a freshman.ÊÊHe has added 15 pounds in the offseason and should again be a major force.Ê They have another big body in 6-9, 255 pound returning starter Wayne Powell.Ê BothÊPowell and MislapÊled the team in scoring inÊtheir twoÊexhibitions.Ê One thing the Bulldogs do not do is shoot wellÊfrom long range.Ê They ranked 9th in the WAC in 3-point shooting last year and in their two exhibitions shot 10 of 29 from behind the arc vsÊweak competition.Ê They also do not appear very deep with only 7 players getting double digit minutes in final exhibition game.Ê Clearly, this team will favor a half court style.Ê After one exhibition game, head coach Keith Richard said, "We wanted to run motion and work the clock."
Ê
LafayetteÊgames averaged 146 points per game last season which isÊwhy this line is somewhat high.Ê In recent years Lafayette would jack up a lot of quick shots and live and die with it.Ê However,Êhead coach Jesse Evans has moved on to San Francisco andÊnew head coach Robert Lee is goingÊto employ a slightly more conservative approach demanding better shot selection and more focus on defense.Ê The Ragin Cajuns also lost three double digit scorers to graduation including top two scorers, top two assist leaders, and top three 3-point shooters who were responsible for 200 of their 237Êmade 3-point field goals last year.Ê Like Louisiana Tech,ÊLafayetteÊhas a majorÊconcernÊwith 3-point shooting coming into the season.Ê They shot just 3-of-21 from behind the arc in only exhibition game.ÊÊPerhaps their bestÊ3-point shooter, ETSU transfer Tiras Wade,Êhad to sit out last year and may require some time to regain his rhythm.ÊÊOnly 119Êpoints wereÊscored in their exhibition gameÊwhich is one of the lowest totalsÊI have come across this year.Ê Coach Lee has said the team will need to create some offense fromÊits defense.Ê Said oneÊLafayette player, "We sleep defense and wake up thinking about defense.Ó
Ê
The experimental rules used in early season tournaments areÊfavoring low scoring games.Ê The widened key makes it difficult to post up close to the basket and the extended 3-point line is lowering shooting percentages.Ê This game features two instate rivals with high hopes for the season playing on a neutral court at LSU.Ê La Tech went under 5 of 6 away from home and Lafayette went under 5 of 8 away from home last season.Ê This game figures to be tightly contested with points coming at a premium.ÊÊ

ÊPurdue at Miami OhioÊ-3 (play to -4)Ê- 5:15pm Pacific
Miami returns four starters from an 18-11 team that led the MAC in scoring defense last year.Ê They also were last in field goal percentage among MAC teams in league play but head coach Charlie ColesÊbelievesÊthis teamÊwill beÊa much better shooting team.Ê He also believes he hasÊone of the deepest teams in the conference.Ê Ten players saw double digit minutes in lone exhibition game.Ê Senior guard Chet Mason and senior forward Danny Horace are poised for breakout years.Ê Mason led the nation in rebounds by a guard last year with 7.9rpg.Ê He is already an accomplished slasher and has worked diligently on his outside shooting in the offseason.Ê Horace meanwhile served warning by pouring in a game high 32 points in the exhibition game.Ê Two other starters return but junior guard William Hatcher has taken a starting spot away from one.Ê He upgrades the point guard position which will allow Mason to focus on scoring more and former starter Hausfield to come off the bench as a 3-point specialist.Ê A pair of sophomores, 6-9 center Monty St. Clair, andÊ6-6 Nathan Perry will round out the starting five.Ê Both came on strong at the end of last year.Ê
Ê
Purdue lost six keyÊplayersÊfromÊlast yearsÊ17-14 season.ÊÊThey thenÊwere delivered a big blow when 6-5 junior guard David Teague wentÊdown with a hand injury a few weeks ago.Ê He will be out until at least early December and the Boilermakers figure to take their lumps until then and maybe even after.Ê Teague was the teams leading returning scorer, leading returning rebounder, one of their better ball handlers, oneÊof their best defenders, and an experienced player on a teamÊwhere such is not common.Ê The weight of the team now falls on point guard Brandon McKnight, forward MattÊKeifer, and JC transfer forward Landry.Ê McKnightÊis not the type of player who is going to beat teams on his own.Ê Kiefer, a 6-10 sophomore, is a very nice prospect and already a good player but still has a ways to go before becoming a go to type.Ê Landry will help some but not enough.Ê This team is very inexperienced and probably will struggle just as much on the defensive end as they do on offense.Ê The newcomers were turnover prone in the exhibition games.Ê It will not get any easier tonight.Ê Even last years experienced team went just 4-8 on the road, and 1-3 in non-conference road games.
Ê
The Redhawks are very well coached and very difficult to beat at home.Ê They are very sound defensively, have plenty of depth,ÊandÊappear to be improved offensively overall from last year.Ê ThisÊcould be one of their better teams since Wally Szczerbiak departed.Ê MAC teams rarely get the chance to host a team from the Big 10 and when they do it isÊaÊbig deal.Ê Boilermakers will have their hands full.

IdahoÊ+11.5 (play to +10) at Boise State - 7:15pm Pacific
The Big West is an underrated league and the Vandals had a great run last year.Ê After starting the season 3-9 and 0-3 in conference they went on to finish 11-7 in their final 18 games, even giving Pacific a run for their money in Big West tournament Semifinal.Ê Among the 7 losses, none were by more than 11.5, and six were by a combined 23 points (3.83 average).ÊÊFour of those coming inÊclose losses to league heavyweights Utah State and Pacific.ÊÊHead coach Leonard Perry is going to end up at a major school at some point.Ê He enters his 5th season here and the teams RPI has improved every year.ÊÊThe VandalsÊlost three good startersÊbut have moreÊreturning playersÊwho have been in the system for a while than they have had recent years.Ê Newcomer guardsÊTihon Johnson (JC transfer) and Jerod Haynes (freshman from Chicago area) areÊreportedly excellent.Ê They will join returnees Tanoris Shepard and Dandrick Jones in aÊstrong backcourt rotation.Ê Idaho will most often play three guards with three seniors battling for timeÊin the two frontcourt openings.ÊÊAll three saw significant minutes last year andÊPerry is very good at developing tough hard nosed players.Ê
Ê
Boise State lost four good seniors from last years team, three of whichÊwere starters.Ê They haveÊtwo returning starters andÊthree other returneesÊto mixÊin with a whopping 8 newcomers.Ê Some are well regarded, but it will probably take some time for this team to find an identity.Ê They have been downright embarrassing in two exhibition games this season.Ê They were blown out by Albertson College 87-66 in opener and just squeaked by Northwest NazareneÊUniversity 73-67Êin final tune-up a week ago.
Ê
Idaho dominated in their only exhibition game prompting coach Perry to say he was not surprised they played well because they have been playing well in practice everyday.Ê He also commented how happy he was to finally have two good point guards.Ê One thing Perry has not done yet is beat instate rival Boise.Ê He is 0-6 in this series going into tonight's game.Ê With seven returning lettermen and much stronger guard play, IdahoÊis much better equipped to perform well out of the gate this year.ÊÊExpect a competitive game and chance at an outright upset.Ê Take the points.Ê
