Re: Northcoast-I have learned over the years that when Phil gets too chippy and cocky like he did last week, he will lose.
All we heard all week and every day was about the 5* and the daily 5 minute mantra about his record, his newsletter,and about each and every one of his different services.
He even stated that the card was so "deep" that he was going to have to narrow the selection of the 5*down from 10 finalists.
The card was so "deep' that the 5* lost ,and he went 1-5-1 in his picks.
Just remember-the best trend and angle on Phil Steele is that when he becomes so fill of himself you can't take it, he is due to lose.
ps he went 1-2 yesterday including the highest rated pick also.

You are so right about Northcoast - Overall I would say that it's a good service on balance for the long term but when "The Mouthpiece " mentions that there's a " VERY DEEP CARD " for the coming weekend - we should all run for cover.

I've seen them tank a " Deep " weekend many a time in the 12 years that I've followed them. You know I loved the other side of his GOY last Sat. and double hit UCLA when Oregon went to -9 1/2 ( took 10 )

PS - I'm looking at Oregon this week but nothing definite yet . The Ducks fit into my 29-1 system but there are some things that I need to check out first.

By now the public should be disgusted with Oregon - which means they could be a live team for us on Saturday.

Better yet, he's NEVER LOST THE MONEY in division revenge when entering off a spread loss of nine or more points, going 8-0 ATS. Hurt and humiliated, he
will be under the Monday Night lights this week against one of the phoniest 7-1 teams to ever come down the pike in Philadelphia. Like last year, the Eagles have won games this season while the other team has done most of the moving.
In other words, they are allowing more yards than they gain. Tonight they will have to overcome the dreaded 'bubble burst' that follows almost every team in the game immediately following an opening season streaking loss. New England evaded it with their win last week at St. Louis as these 'Fat Pigs' are now 24-40-1 ATS in games off their initial loss after starting the season 4-0 or better.

Dallas' sterling home dog log (18-6 ATS since 1990) cements it. So now you see why we like Sushi.

Coverboy-as stated before, I was with you on both your nice hits but a little less on UCLA because until this weekend Phil has done well with the 5*'s.
Phil Steele/Mouthpiece? was humble on Sunday AFTER Oregon lost.
Perhaps in the future he should tone it down a little BEFORE the game and perhaps try to cut the daily mantra on his comp. line back by at least 30 seconds if not more!
I should have played it like you-double when every degenerate in the world played it and jacked the line to 9 1/2 figuring "god" Steele could not lose.
Lest we not forget, remember in the NFL pre-season ,we saw HUGE moves in the lines after Phil/Mouthpiece released the plays, and needless to say most of the games lost, and Northcoast had an awful pre-season.
Remember-the games are played on the field and NOT in Phil Steele's mouth.

Did Phil leak the play early to the sportsbooks?

I know a line can move fast but 3 whole points in 5 minutes is rather ludicrous. He releases the 5* to his clients at 10 am sharp central time and I look at my account at 10:02 and it's Oregon -9.5. Had Oregon won by 7 it would be all over this week's Power Sweep that he won his 5* at Oregon -6.5 when there is no way any client could have played it at that on a sportsbook right thereafter. He needs to quit sitting on the big plays until that time or quit advertising his release times.

I didn't play it any way.

His September 5* was Iowa State -3.5 over Northern Illinois. I was in my sportsbook at 10 sharp and 30 seconds and it was Iowa State -6. I played it but that was pure luck as NI blew a huge lead and lost by 7 in OT.

Phil needs to shut up and release his plays earlier so his clients can get the best number. Advertising the time hurts the bettor with line value.

Sometimes Phil overdoes it(he is oblivious to fact that many of folks get the play at BC for nothing).
What I find especially amusing is when he starts talking about these special codes to get the plays/5 stars.
It kind of reminds me of when I was a kid(probably most of you don't remember this, as it goes back a long ways), and you had to collect X number of Wheaties boxtops and then send them in to receive your special decoder ring.:D

No comp. from Daaa Manager today, but he continues to tout the MM Sportsbook.
Just curious- has anyone ever heard of these guys, or it is a sportsbook which has simply escaped my knowledge?
The thought has crossed my mind dat perhaps daaa Manager could be a recipient of a kickback from dat service he cites.

joe is best-i have never had a losing season with him--as far as being honest he is 100% and if it matters to you at all he is the nicest person you could ever want to know---spend the 400.00 he will make you alot of money and let me tell you 1 more thing he works 18 hours aday trying to come up with the right sides and will always answer your calls if you need to ask him anything-good luck and i dont work for him im just giving you my true feelings
