I rarely post. Plase do not take my word as the God's truth as things sometimes change .
Graduated from Birmingham Southern in 2001.
Still live in Bham, AL. Will NOT be attending tonight's coaches -v- cancer classic, however will be betting on it.
I know a little about the bball program, coaches, players, so on and so forth at BSC. At the time I attended the hilltop, we were still small potatoes in the fishbowl that is the NCAA D-I college bball world. HOwever, we ruled the roost at the NAIA and D-II levels.
I will tell you this, BSC players are ALWAYS steeped in fundamentals of bball first and foremost. Coach Reboul always stressed that on his teams. While the talent level is not of some D-I schools, you must understand that BSC can recruit and land TALENTED players who might not make the cut at Bama, UAB, or Auburn but can shine at BSC.
With all this said, I like BSC ML tonight and Alabama A&M plus the points. BSC will not blow A&M out as A&M has too much speed and "raw" talent. BSC will win convincingly (however 12 pts is alot) and rotate lots of players to get experience so I see the game staying within the 12 points
The fundamentals will make the difference in the winner and the loser.
I'll keep y'all posted on BSC throughout the year as they are NEW to D-I and I've got somewhat of an inside slant.
GL to all.
