Just a Little write up I found on this game

This is not mine, Still a little early for me on College Hoops..

      Thursday NCAA Hoops
Fairfield Stage vs. Mississippi St. Bulldogs 9:15 PM ET

      Fairfield Stags +11 –110 (2 Units)

This is a tough Fairfield team that returns its top eight players from last season where they finished 3rd in the MAAC. In the preseason coach’s poll, they are tied for second place with Niagara, just two points off the top spot held by Manhattan College. They are led by Deng Gai, who was named to the preaseson All-MACC first team. Gai ended last season with a 13.3 ppg and 8.8 rpg along with 66 blocks in 16 games. The other top returnees are Terrence Todd and Dewitt Maxwell who averaged 14.9 ppg and 10.9 ppg respectively. However, the strength of this team is their defense, as they finished 41st in the country last season in field goal percentage, allowing only 41% from the floor. The Stags finished second in the conference in scoring defense last year (64.2 ppg) and they held the opposition to 60 points or less 15 times in its 31 games, including four games under 56 points. The opposition reached the 70-point mark just seven times a year ago and the Stags did not allow any team to reach the 70-point mark in its final 10 contests, which will help heading into this season. They are tenacious at the defensive end of the floor and could cause a lot of problems for the young Bulldogs backcourt. Obviously, the big news is that Lawrence Roberts, the reigning SEC Player of the Year who averaged 16.9 points and 10.1 rebounds last season will not be in uniform due to a one-game suspension. Sophomore Piotr Stelmach, who averaged under a point and one rebound per game last season, is likely to start in Roberts’ place. What may hurt the Bulldogs the most here is trying to replace point guard Timmy Bowers, who was the true leader of this team. Sophomore Gary Ervin will jump into the point and will definitely find things rough going in the opener. This is an early start for the Bulldogs who need to replace two other starters along with Roberts. "We're nowhere near where we need to be," Mississippi State coach Rick Stansbury said.

          GL EZ,

I got the line early at Fairfield +14. Let's bring this one home!
The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.

When is the value gone on this game?
there are 10 and 10 1/2 out there while the overnight was at 14.

I also liked Fairfield. Players stay longer into there college career at these smaller schools. Roberts is sitting out for the bulldogs and Deng returning to Fairfield and not going pro is big here.
            Remember the three R's:
Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EZ, sorry to intrude on your post....but an important question about value........

i did not know the opening was 14 but 14 down to 10 means the value is gone on fairfield obviously, but even with value gone, it can still be a good play..............seems that for EZ, this is not a vlaue play, rather a solid play from him at 10......of course, now i am speaking out of turn

there is more line movement in college basketball than any sport and it is rare to see an opening stay where it is ever........
