I can't believe in 15 years of gambling that situation has never arisen before.
Of course you win;according to your friend's bookie, if you won a baseball game in extra innings it wouldn't count either.
That guy should be reported to the Local Bookies' Union for malpractice.Last edited by savage1; 11-09-2004, 12:34 AM.

In any MLB/NBA/CBB/NFL/CFB
OVERTIME is considered as a VALID BET in any of the Totals....You are getting jacked.
Your FRIEND better find a new guy because he/they are only stiffing you. IN ALL CIRCLES your bet is a WINNER..UNLESS it is put to you up front by the one who takes it.
APPARENTLY NOT the case....HE/THEY owe you.......BUT GOOD LUCK trying to collect...obviously a low money player and a milker who just got into the arena hoping to hit it big for a month or two!
JMHO FWIW!!! BUT SEEN IT AND EXPERIENCED IT....GET RID OF IT NOW!I am NOT schizophrenic......and NEITHER am I! Just paranoid that fear may overcome my insanity!

like
spreadman says.....many times your "friend" will take your bet....not call it in...hope it wins to pocket the take cause the man never got it.....but it goes bad.....because he did this to many others besides yourself meaning he owes BIGGGGGGGG BUCKS now to MANNNNNNY people....can't pony up the $$$, so makes up stuff like that to stiff you in hopes it cuts his ignorant losses.....PUSH IT and find out!
15 YEARS???? AND YOU NEVER RAN INTO THIS???
Hope it works out for you! BOL GVI am NOT schizophrenic......and NEITHER am I! Just paranoid that fear may overcome my insanity!

This reminds me of a situation about 30 years ago, when I turned in a football parlay card to a "friend" the former which I played for $10;I hit and won around $60;of "course" the "friend" said he turned the card in and that I would get paid shortly.
Well, the "friend" stalled for a while. making up all kind of ridiculous excuses but always assuring me that I would get paid.
After a couple of weeks went by, I demanded that my "friend" give me the "bookie's" phone number so that I could talk to him.
I never got to talk to the "bookie" but I got paid the next day by my "friend."Draw your own conclusions.
