  • capping probability question

This probably sound stupid, but I couldn't figure this out.

If cappers A's hit rate is 65%, capper B's at 63% and Capper C's at 59% ......if they all pick a team to win , is that team likely to win more than 65%?

Or it will be just the average of the cappers hit rate?

    Thanks in advance

You would need to know the w/l records of games they have as a match between the 3 before you could generate a percentage. If you use all games of all 3, then add the percentgages and divide by 3.
JW, you sure that is your brother in law?

I always thought the probability of a team covering any one game is 50-50.

I agree with shifty, but that said, if you know that each handicapper caps a different way; one with power ratings, one with angles and let's say one with situations (sometimes included with an angle capper), I personally would play the game for more than my play of just capper A. Doesn't answer the probability question, but when I cap, if all 3 agree (not withstanding injuries), it is a larger bet than just my power ratings bet. Hope that helps.
