Rosenborg were really struggling over the last few weeks domestically, and to have finally got over the finish line ahead of Valarenga will have taken a huge amount out of the players. Their last 3 'away' games went 1-0-2 and 1-5 which just shows how poorly they were playing : that's in a domestic league, so what can they expect to achieve in the Champions League? Also they failed to defeat PSV on their home ground last time and I'm sure they are realistic enough to doubt their chances of winning away.

With wins over Valencia and Anderlecht, Werder looks set to continue their good run and to finish second to Inter in this Group. On the other hand Anderlecht is still without a win and their hopes to even get a chance in the UEFA Cup have fizzled out with that 3rd loss against Werder. As it is, even a win here may not be good enough to secure the third a spot in this Group. With so little to fight for and playing away to a team that already beaten them in their home ground just the match before this, Anderlecht will have nothing more than pride to urge them on. Unlike the Germans who are battling the Valencia for at least the second spot, this looks to be a one sided affair.
