  • Line Moves - Basketball

I have noticed that the line moves in the first week or two of NBA and College hoops are very solid over the years. With the NBA starting on Tuesday, it may be something to follow for a few days.
I hope it's not the Jim Beam talking right now, but take a look for the first week or two and then don't bother as it seems to be 50-50 after that. Good Luck to All !!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. Also look for a lot of dogs and unders the 1st week or so as teams struggle to setup their offense. Last year, 11-3 under and 10-4 dogs the first 2 days.

you are right but you have to be careful. The average player is feeling out the season and the professionals are still betting big. You see line moves you won't see in mid-late season. But you have to decipher if it is moving up 1/2 point every 10 minutes or one big jump.

IMO one year results is not a system in the making.

Also, last year for the first two games (not first 2 days) for the entire league the dogs were:

        Dogs 14-15
        O/U 16/13.

The first 2 games since 1995:
        Dogs 119-127
        O/U 116/129

Neither is a solid trend worth following.

Opening night saw all three games UNDER. Two of the games was within a point of the total.

Home team and favorites won and covered all games.
