        College Football (40-47) -63.85 Units
        ------------------------------------------------

I have left myself a HUGE mountain to climb here. It will take alot to get me back to even on the season before it ends. Let's try starting with this one tonight....................

        .................................................. ...................
        "Touchdown" ( Units)
        .................................................. ...................

        Miami Ohio -5.5

Both have had similiar paths to this point. They have both played a couple of bigger schools from bigger conferences. Miami lost to both Michigan and Cinn. by a combined 88-36 on the road. Toledo lost to Minnesota and Kansas by a combined 126-35 with both games also on the road. Toledo is 6-0 since those 2 opening games winning by an average of 21 ppg. albeit against poor competition. Miami has gone 4-1 since those 2 early season losses winning by an average of 21 ppg. (in the 4 wins) also against poor competition. Toledo has the better offense but on the road their defense in 4 games have given up an average of 48 ppg including 33 to (1-7) W. Michigan and 32 to (3-5) E. Michigan. They have not given up less than 32 on the road this year while Miami has only allowed 13.5 ppg at home. Miami is ranked 24th defensively. They are 51st in passing yards allowed but that is kind of deceiving as teams they have played couldn't run against them and needed to pass to catch up. Toledo has been awful on defense ranked 145th against the pass and 89th against the run.

I think the rainy weather in Oxford today will help Miami and their defense slow down Toledo at home. Minnesota and others have run the ball extremely well on Toledo and i think Miami can do the same thing in what could be sloppy conditions. Miami only averaged 4 ppg less than Toledo this year and i think that will balance each other out. Take Miami and the Defense in front of the home crowd for this Nationally televised contest!

        GOOD LUCK :D

              wayne

from the looks of your post it sounds like you would also lean towards the under as well. Just wondering it has stopped raining here now but could still be a little sloppy not sure.

I can't get a good feel for the total. I think on a dry fast track that it would go over but the conditions are the wild card here. Either it's too sloppy to move the ball consistently and it goes under OR alot of turnover's are created because of the conditions and points come often for the over. It's a tough call IMO and i'm staying away!

                  Wayne

                  Wayne-

If you were to pick someone on this site to follow exclusively, who would you choose?

                  NBA?
                  College basketball?

I just need someone to curtail!

Mister Par i really don't follow anyone enough to give you the answer you want. It takes too much time to do my own and i just don't have time to follow how so many others are doing. I check a ton of threads every day but i do it quickly looking for problems more than looking at picks. I know John has always been pretty consistent and Homer and wiz as well. Those are just a few of many but they come to mind because they have been doing it here for a long time consistently. Hope i helped a little.

                          Wayne

                          Wayne-

Thanks for the feedback. That is pretty much what I figured, but I just thought I would ask if there was anyone that was a b-ball specialist (if there is such a thing). I pick my own football games, but I need help with b-ball. Last year, I followed you, EZ, etc. and tried to just bet the ones that matched up only, but that system didn't seem to work as well so I figured I would be better off following just one of you guys throughout the year. Good luck & thanks!

*For what it is worth, I think the Mavs are going to struggle out of the gate this year with all of the new faces -- and I am not sure Nelson knows how to coach a team that has less run & gun & more defense (Dampier, Harris, Howard, etc).
