Won my only NFL play from last week which was a big one on Monday night. Poor predictable Broncos, they just never play hard against poor opponents on the road. Here's my updated record:
Record for last week: 1-0
Record to date: 20-17-2
Units for last week: +7.00
Units to date: +19.00
A couple of games I like tomrrow:
Jacksonville Jaguars @
Houston Texans (-1)
I'll be the first to admit, I'm headed toward being able to say at the end of the season: "Yeah, I did well with my wagers, but I would have done REALLY well if it weren't for all those games I bet against the Jaguars". I don't care though. Last minute comeback after last minute comeback do not a good team make. Eventually their good luck is going to run out. Meanwhile, Houston looks very strong this season, and I hope they'll be the team to finally crush this overachieving team.
Play: 3 UNITS - HOUSTON -1
New England Patriots (-3) @
Pittsburg Steelers
My new largest play of the season. I really hate to make it too, because one of these weeks, New England is just going to have a bad game. So lets review, Pittsburg has played one team that will end the season over .500. Oops! They lost to that one team. Talk about paper tiger. New England is just on a completely different level than the Steelers. I know it's on the road. I know the crowd will be reved up. Eventually though, a soft schedule that makes you overconfident and a rookie QB are going to catch up to you.
Play: 10 UNITS - NEW ENGLAND -3
San Francisco 49ers @
Chicago Bears (-2)
The 49ers have been a pleasant surprise to me. Rattay has overachieved, but you have to respect how many yards he's been putting up through the air. Chicago just seems like it has no offense. I know the 49ers have a weak D, but I think they'll be able to hold them off enough to get the win.
