SIDES
# 320 Minnesota minus 17 over Illinois – PLATINUM 6* Two-Unit Play
The Fighting Illini could not stop Laurence Fishbourne running the football, much less Laurence Maroney and Marion Barber III. The Gophers run wild against Illinois to snap short skid. The Illini will probably start their fourth-string QB, the Gophers led by Glen Mason will be out for blood after last week’s debacle, especially now that they are at home in the Dome. Glen Mason is a close second to K-State's Bill Snyder in their lust of running a score up.
#344 Notre Dame minus 7 over Boston College – SILVER 4* - 1.5 Unit Play
The Fighting Irish have found a passing game, some confidence and we expect them to continue to improve as the season progresses. While ND has played its typical schedule, BC has played UMass, Ball State, Vassar, and other similar schools. Next year BC has Wellesley College, Hillary Rodham Clinton's alma mater, on the schedule.
#332 Texas Tech plus 1 over Texas – Bronze 3*
The Longhorns are once again one of the nation's most overrated teams in the country and get exposed this Saturday night in West Texas. Even in "strong" years, Lubbock has been to the Longhorns what Amarillo was to Oprah Winfrey. Where's the beef?
#333 Georgia minus 8 over Arkansas – Bronze 3*
Dawg or Hawg? We choose Dawg! Arkansas’s fine QB, Matt Jones is hurting. With Jones having problems with a pulled groin, the Arkansas offense could be limited. That could spell trouble for the Hogs going against a defense ranking fourth in the nation and holding teams to abou 109 rushing yards per game. Second string QB Robert Johnson might be getting the starting nod for the Hogs. If so, it's asking a lot to get the first career start against this merciless Bulldog D.
#353 Florida State minus 13 1/2 Wake Forest – Bronze 3*
These are not your Daddy's Demon Deacons. On the other hand, however, to paraphrase Pedro, the Seminoles have been the Demon Deacons' DADDY in the past. The Sems are starting to play with a little more swagger under Rix's replacement, Wyatt Sexton.
#356 Kansas State minus 5 Nebraska – Bronze 3*
It was just a couple of years back this game had Big 12 and national title implications. Now, one must wonder if EITHER team will even qualify for a bowl. Well, at least one will, but only because the Big 12 North is about as strong as the Sun Belt North this year. The Wildcats may not be any good, but the Huskers are worse. Don’t be impressed by the Huskers output last week against Baylor, their offense stinks.
TOTALS
#315 Iowa - Penn State UNDER 39 - Bronze 3*
Two offensively challenged teams but ones with good defenses. Against anybody of consequence, PSU has not rushed for even 75 yards in a game.
#331 Texas-Texas Tech OVER 60 1/2 - Bronze 3*
The Red Raiders' chunk-and-dunk offense is starting to hit on all cylinders, and the Longhorns will be successful running the ball with Cedric Benson roaming for about 175 yards.
#357 Miami (FL) - NC State UNDER 40 1/2 – Bronze 3*
Take NC State’s 42 point performance over Richmond out of the mix and the Wolfpack is averaging only 19 points per game against mostly mediocre defenses. Forget about the Louisville game, Miami's defense fantastic only allowing 12.8 points per outing. Louisville has a high-powered offense and a low-powered defense.

Though he is gone, his partners still put out picks under his name.
