Chang should play for ASU

Hawaii: There were all kinds of rumors floating around Vegas on Saturday about Timmy Chang, and his connections with potential ‘game-fixers’ – the Stardust kept the game off the board for most of the week, without any injury status in question. Chang was not sharp and was benched for most of the 2nd half, giving plenty of ammunition for his accusers/detractors. June Jones deserves his share of detractors as well, with only five rushing attempts for RB Michael Brewster, who gave this offense some semblance of balance last week against Nevada. The Warriors are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games on the mainland, and they’ve got two more trips this year – at Boise and at Fresno, two of the more dominant teams in the WAC. Considering how soft this defense is – really dominated at the line of scrimmage by UTEP, with very weak pass coverage as well – look to bet against the Warriors in those two ballgames.

Both of Hawaii's staring cb's and starting fs will be out of this game, and two starting lb's are doubtful. Hawaii was giving up 33.8 points per game even before their starting defensive backfield was wiped out. Their only defensive star, db Eliminien, was leading the nation with 1.0 picks per game. He will be one of the dbs out for this game.

QB Chang had an injury to his shoulder, but that was his non-throwing shoulder. He has not practiced all week and is expected to start practicing Thursday. He only need 559 yards to set the all time college pasing record. He is expected to start Saturday.

Hawaii giving 22 with a busted up defense that was already bad is way too much. The over 70 could also be a good play.

Hawaii has been way to focused on getting Timmy Chang his passing record this year. On top of that he dates June Jones daughter.
