I almost never play favorites but the price here is reasonable, all things considering. The Red Sox bullpen is gassed, Can they ask starters like Arroyo and Wakefield to pitch back-to-back? Even if Schilling responds with a heroic performance, if he can't last eight innings Boston's in trouble. It's true the Yankee pen is also tanked (especially Rivera) but the New York starter, Lieber, has fewer question marks than Schilling. The Yankees return home. The crowd will be juiced. Damon is playing centerfield with one hand on his throat to prevent public gagging. The Red Sox are exhausted. If the line was -190, Iwouldn't touch it. At this price, I think New York's a steal.
