Pay very close attention to any " Newbie " who posts this game for us. He / She is likely to be LYING.

Stick with reliable posters only.

This is also a heads - up for the BC Admins to sniff out and bounce any traitors coming in here and trying to do us harm.

PS In the past Northcoast has used the Kansas State - Nebraska game as a 5* play at least twice in recent years ... both times with a play on Kansas State ... and both times winning. He picks K State to roll Nebraska in this week's issue of Power Sweep by the score of 37 -16. Wondering if he'll come with K state this Saturday. We'll find out soon enough.

I agree with Coverboy. Because Northcoast's rare 5* plays produce violent and immediate line movement, there is great opportunity for pranksters to post false plays----knowing that some will bet instantly to beat the line movement.

I don't know if Northcoast is behind this or not---but certainly many services hate consensus outfits and internet sites like this---or if it's just people trying to play games. Here's what I'd look for. Northcoast releases are out at 11 am eastern. Any post earlier than that is bogus. The poster should also have at least 100 posts on this site as someone who's been around here that long would have been exposed as a scammer by now if they weren't honest. One reason why legitimate posters won't have the pick up on this board for 10 or 15 minutes is that most of are actually trying to bet the game(s) ourselves and are otherwise occupied immediately following the play release. In short, the best way to get the play instantly and bet it right away is to buy it. Those who want to get it off this site should take the safeguards I mention. One other thing: don't ever trust anything from anyone named brassbell.

For now I'd stick with Spark and Fleetfox. They're very reliable and respectable friends of ours.

There are a few others who have the inside track on NC but their nics escape me . Don't worry ... they will surface as the week goes on if this post is to be bumped.

Stay away from " Brassbell " and " 3-iron " ... these 2 are notorious Liars and have probably been bounced already. They may try to reappear in another shape or form.

I agree with you coverboy I trust Fleetfox,spark for sure. These and many others of us on the service board are trustworthy. Your right though there are scammers out there. I dont know if I'll get access to the NC play before the others on Sat. but if i can get it I'll be sure to post it.

Our Priority

I believe 1/2 point is critical ... I always get 1/2 point in all sports ... no questions asked ... and that is one 1 of the conditions in my standard deal when I interview and negotiate with a book.

I believe in never betting a bad number.

But rather than jump on an early post from a " Foreigner " giving us the 5* Saturday , I think accuracy should take precedent over speed.

If we have to lay a point or 2 more or take a point or 2 less ... so be it.

I'd buy the game but " The Execs" get it 5-10 minutes earlier so there's no real line value doing so. I've done it before.

Northcoast has a real good track record on these 5* 's but I've seen my share of them go down in flames also. They're worth a decent man size bet, but no single play is worth going overboard.

I know ASA has people out there who post phony picks. Beware of them this week as well since they will be relesing their Midwest 10 star Sat. I know that they never lost this play and they state on their site that they will release the game 15 priot to kick off no matter what time the game is.

I've recently found out from a friend who owns a service ( 1 man operation ... and honest ) that Big Al and California Sports smokescreen their plays too.

I get Cal Sports and their games are posted inaccurately in here A LOT !!! With regard to " Big " Al ... I dont know and don't care.

I remember purchasing a play from Big Al a few years ago (not proud of it) and when I posted the play, he somehow knew it was me that posted it and emailed me stating not to post them. It was kind of humorous thinking about it.

Some of the regulars here really stick up for Big Al and I mean passionately , too. Can he actually be good and we here are getting all the wrong info?

His posted plays here have not done well for months ... yet members love the guy and defend him ... what's the attraction with Big Al when his stuff is ordinary? It' sure is puzzling.
