But his comp picks are very good overall so we put up with it.

Coverboy-Are you sure that the guy who blabs every day is NOT Phil Steele? How do you know that?
After having listened to and been mentally tortured thousands of times over the years by the person making the tapes, I simply assumed that it was Phil Steele.
Now that you tell me it is not, I am totally shocked and am tempted to go to the National Enquirer and other noteworthy publications;this could be a front page story and make the Presidential Election a secondary matter.
All I can say is "wow" and taking a page from the tv show "To Tell the Truth,"" Will the real Phil Steele please stand up."

I've talked with the mouthpiece a few times ... he assures me he's not Phil Steele. Do I believe him ? Who the hell cares ? LOL.

Also " Score " out of Boston has a real vendetta against Northcoast ( Their newsletter is very funny and chock full of gossip and degrading stories about players , coaches and services ) Naturally I don't believe all they write but it sure does make for comical reading ) For instance, last month they posted a picture of " Phil Steele " . It was a tired, wrinkled old man in a cheap suit and tie. They said his name is not Phil Steele ... There is no " Phil Steele". Rather , The Owner of Northcoast is " Phil Sternberg" or "Phil Steinwitz" .. something like that.

I can't be sure, Savage, but my educated guess is that the mouthpiece is a front man and not the boss.

Steele is indeed the guy who's on the promos. However, when games are released, a different employee does the tapes. This employee's name is "John" and he doesn't hide it. Don't ask me how I know.

Coverboy-I also get those promotional newsletters from Score demeaning Phil and find them rather funny and especially the pictures you cite.
You won't believe this(maybe you will), but several years ago when I received one of these newsletters from Score(I think they call it the Moneymaker), I actually called NorthCoast to tattle on Score and actually sent them the newsletter, as the person answering the phone(definitely not Phil) at that time was not aware that they were being slandered by Score.
ps Score in my judgment is one the most scandalous, devious and lying publications out there.
Several years ago I know for a fact that on their advertised College Grand slam they went 2-2 and then later advertised they went 4-0; what else is new?
Griswold-there appears to be some confusion as to whether Phil Stool/Steel does the everyday tapes or someone else.
Please someone let me know so that I can sleep tonight.
