Banger #1; 49ers/Jets over 42 1/2
The Jets offense is scoring better than 24 ppg and have topped 30 pts twice. Chad Pennington is tearing up secondaries and Curtis Martin is eating up yards like a mad man. The Jets will be teeing off against a 49ers defense that's without All-Pro linebacker Julian Peterson, they may just go over the 43 pts total by themselves. Add into the mix that Tim Rattay should be able to move the ball through the air now that he's getting a handle on the no-huddle.
Banger #2 Cowboys -1.55 ML
Roethlisberger and the Steelers have looked great the last 3 weeks, but its been at winless Miami and at home against two poor teams, Cleveland and Cincinnati. The Cowboys offense is averaging 357.2 ypg, if they start cutting down on penalties and turnovers as the wrong time, they can win this game. Bill Parcels has said he's frustrated with his teams play. With Parcells reputation, I look for him to rectify the problems and have em ready for the Steelers.
Banger #3 Chiefs -2 1/2
Jacksonville has lost both starting defensive ends for the season. Without Barnes and Spicer, coach Jack Del Rio moved Pro Bowl defensive tackle Marcus Stroud to end against the Chargers. San Diego ran for 176 yds against Jacksonville's vaunted defense, mostly up the middle. Things aren't going to get any better today, as the Jags take on a rested Priest Holmes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
