Maybe being an underdog in 99% of their road games could have something to do with that...

BOWLING GREEN -24 ov Ball State
Season is now over for Ball State after losing at home to Eastern Michigan last week 31-24 as 8 pt chalk. Ball State has been awful on season - and the road no place for joy as BSU has been hammered by an average losing score of 53-7 and can't play defense, and have no sustainable offense to speak of. BG won this matchup on the road last season by 27 points 41-14 as our MAC GAME OF YEAR in 2003 - and too bad we already have this conference winner under our belts as it would certainly be classified as such again. Last week at home BSU allowed 537 yards to EM. On paper just think for a moment what kind of day Bowling Green QB Jacobs will have against this same Cardinal secondary that allowed 848 yards passing over the last 2 games. Consider now in that equation that Jacobs has gone 52 of 68 passing good for 754 yards, with 8 touchdowns and 1 pick and I am sure you get the clear picture here. Ball State has also now dropped SIX straight to the spread while on the road, and here comes lucky 7. Bowling Green meanwhile is 8-1 ATS off back to back road games, and a solid 20-9 ATS as homer, plus 16-4 ATS when scoring more than 28 points, which they could get by mid 2nd quarter here. Easy at it can get. BOWLING GREEN 52-17

10* UNDERDOG GAME OF THE WEEK (4-2)
                              WASHINGTON +6.5 ov Oregon State

Beavers of OSU saw their season go up in smoke after Cal destroyed them at home couple weeks back 49-7; and if patterns hold true, this Beaver is damned. Washington holds all the aces in this game; 6-1 ATS last 7 as home dog; and a 25-2 outright mark since 1975. Series dog is solid 5-1 ATS, and Huskies as home dog or pick a money making 16-4 ATS last 20 in that role. OSU lately just 2-7 ATS on PAC TEN road, and a money burning 1-9 ATS as road favorites. Hard to imagine that the Beavers entire season was sent up in smoke with that loss at LSU. Oregon State has enough to win, but mental not prepared to cover. OSU 17-16

10* NEWSLETTER GAME OF THE WEEK (5-1)
                              AUBURN -12 ov Arkansas

every tout and trend in the world will make a case and push for the Hogs here based on technical trends, but the most important trends today are the physical ones on the field, as the Hogs youth doesn't figure to put up much of a fight against a determined War Eagle ball club that has no problem running up scores when given the opportunity. After all the dog has covered 6 of the last 7 in this matchup, and the Hogs again are 12-3 SEC revenge dogs after losing as 6 point chalk to Auburn last season at home 10-3. Auburn also just 3-7 ATS in 2nd of back to back home games, making a sound play on them sound impossible. Believe what you want, but this Auburn club is something special, and deserves every vote they get in the national rankings. I mean, think about it...Georgia and Tennessee have the same records, UT just beats Georgia as a DD dog on the ROAD, and take a look - Georgia WAY AHEAD of the Vols in a couple polls. Makes no sense at all does it? Arkansas just 1-8 ATS off an outright loss with a "bye" Home teams are 7-3 ATS in this series, and with Auburn playing great football, with depth and experience, which says they will eventually overwhelm the Arkansas youth movement and cover handily today. AUBURN 31-10

NFL 10* GAME OF THE WEEK (0-5)
                              NEW ENGLAND -4 ov Seattle

could Seattle have been looking ahead to the Patriots last week, after all leading 27-10, 5 minutes and change left in the game, only to see them make stupid move after move after move on the field? Absolutely. Whatever reason the Seahawks decided to keep passing, when they should have been running the ball to keep the clock moving - well, water under the bridge, but its those type of dumb things that will help the Patriots capitalize and keep their incredible win streak alive as they continue to get the job done, not flashy, but nonetheless efficient. Patriots have been money makers for quite awhile now 16-1-2 ATS in regular season games, and 9-1-2 vs NON divisional opponents makes them hard to buck here today. Seattle has been on a nice run themselves 9-2 last 11 against the line, but failed miserably at home against their first real "contender" - receivers continue to drop balls and make too many mental errors. SEAHAWKS 0-7 vs AFC East, and Patriots 7-0 vs AFC West, and 11-1 off back to back outright wins. No one ever speaks of the Patriot defense which has now held 9 of their last 11 opponents under 18 points, a key factor to this magnificent win streak. NE also 12-3 ATS before the Jets, and 12-2 ATS at home after allowing 18 or less. Seahawks 1-8 ATS off first loss of the season and have to make dreaded coast to coast trip, but do have this snakebit game selection working for them. Could be a trap with small number, but until Patriots get beat, ride the train with them here. NEW ENGLAND 27-17
