Big Al McMordie
Miami (Florida) r104
-8.5 / 2 units At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Miami
Hurricanes over Louisville, as the Canes have
been installed as a 9-point favorite. Both teams
are 4-0 on the season, but there's a big
difference in their competition. Miami has faced
three bowl teams from last year (Houston,
Florida State, Georgia Tech), while Louisville has
beat up 4 creampuffs (Kentucky, Army, North
Carolina and East Carolina), who had a combined
record of 7-42 last year! Miami has the #1
defense in the country (6.5 points per game), and
they've not allowed a passing TD all season (the
only secondary in College Football to do so).
Finally, Miami falls into the following system
which is 22-6 ATS since 1980. What we want to
do is play against any undefeated road dog of +4
or more in Game #5 of the season if they're
matched up against a foe off a win. And we can
improve our 22-6 stat to a perfect 10-0 ATS if
the price ranges from 9 to 15.5 points. Take
Miami. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

Major step up in class for the Cards as they invade Coral Gables to take on the #3 ranked Miami Hurricanes. They’ve rolled up much lesser competition to date, but the important aspect to take from those wins is that they absolutely crushed their opposition. They’ve already posted two shutouts, and their “D” is giving up 7 PPG and 261 yards of total offense per game. Now, Miami is well known for rushing the ball with Moss & Gore, but the Cards “D” has only given up 82 YPG on the ground. This will be the Canes toughest chore to date, and QB Brock Berlin will be forced to go to the air to keep the Cards “D” honest. It only gets better from there. LOU’s “D” is loaded with playmakers in the secondary as they’ve already picked seven passes, and forced a total of 12 turnover’s in their first 4 games. In all honesty, I believe the Canes will have a terrible time moving the ball tonight. Now, this is where it gets tricky. The Cards offense is one of the best in the nation racking up 504 yards of total offense and 42 PPG so far, but this is a completely different defense than they’ve faced to date. Miami can be had on the ground, but passing the ball on them has been close to impossible as they’re giving up a miniscule 115 YPG through the air. What the Card’s offense will do is pound the Canes with their potent duo of RB’s, and allow QB LeFors to get out in space on bootlegs and such to find WR’s open in the flats. Miami is just to fast to come at them with the passing attack the Card’s are used to running. They have to buckle their chinstraps, and get physical with this unit. They have the squad that can go into Miami and get the SU win as I see plenty of top-notch player’s on the Louisville roster. The Canes are nowhere near the dominant team they used to be, and they can be had. With the powerful teams out there right now, Miami is by no means worthy of their #3 ranking in my opinion. Louisville shocked the world the last time they were on ESPN on a Thursday as they went in to Doak Campbell and knocked off the Seminoles in OT. Can lightning strike twice in Florida for Louisville? We’re about to find out. A unit play on the moneyline is also in order.
Jeff Allen and partners were convicted of operating a tout service and offshore sports book at the same time and defrauding their clients in the process. I think he's in jail but may now be out.
More info: Jeff Allen's real name is Jeff D'Ambrosia. He and partner Duane Pede operated "Jeff Allen Sports" along with Dan pastorini and "mike Wynn." Wynn wasn't even a real person. Allen was a false name. Pastorini was a front.
Northcoast's comp. play on the 800-4758168 number(I am not responsible if he has another comp. on another number) is Alabama.
Note: Unlike yesterday, when Phil gave out pick after only 2 minutes and 10 seconds, today he was back to his old customary self, and it took 4 minutes of his usual gibberish before pick was finally given out.:D
