  • CFB Plays 10/16

Great day for me this past Saturday as I won both of my plays in College Football. Anyone that follows my CFB plays probably realizes by now I know Colorado pretty darn well. That being said, I urge people to stay away from them this weekend (on either side). The line is just about right this time (though Iowa State may be getting a few too many points), as this is a must win (and likely their last win) for them. Here's the record for this past weekend:

    Record last week: 2-0
    Record to date: 4-1
Units last week: +10.00 (not including vig)
Units to date: +20.00 (not including vig)

Here are my plays for this weekend:

    Wisconsin @
    Purdue (-6.5)

Wisconsin is a great defensive team, no doubt about it, but they have yet to face even a single team this season that boasts a solid offense. Well, this weekend, Purdue will really test their secondary. I have a tendancy to play games where it's a good offense against a good defense IF the good offense is pass oriented. Good defenses just plain stop the run, but it's not so easy to defend the pass. A good QB that can place the ball well can beat even the staunchest of coverages. That's what I see happening here.

    Play: 5 UNITS - PURDUE -6.5

    Missouri @
    Texas (-14)

Missouri is not a good team. I watched them barely (and I mean barely) beat a horrendous Colorado team when they were at home. Texas is going to come out steaming off yet another loss against Oklahoma. Look for them to run over (and run it up) on this Missouri team with one of the most overrated QBs in College Football.

    Play: 3 UNITS - TEXAS -14

A couple other games I like (but most likely will not bet on) are: Arizona State +10.5, Wyoming +8, and Stanford -0.5. Good luck to everyone.

    Adding:

    Arizona @
    Oregon (-11.5)

Oregon isn't as strong this year as it has been in recent years, but they are at home against a pretty bad Arizona team. Stoops has brought some toughness to the Cats, but they still don't have much talent right now, and Oregon tends to kill bad teams when they're playing at home. Take Oregon here for a small play.

    Play: 2 UNITS - OREGON -11.5

      Adding one more:

      Wyoming @
      BYU (-7.5)

I've hesitated on this play (and unfortunately, the line moved on me) but I've decided to go ahead and make it. While Wyoming has yet to prove that they can win on the road, BYU has already shown that it can lose at home (and to a pretty bad UNLV team). Meanwhile, Wyoming, while a VERY long shot, still has a chance to win the conference. Regardless, Wyoming should keep this game close enough to win with the points. I think they'll win outright, but we'll see.

      Play: 3 UNITS - WYOMING +7.5
