College Park, Md - The Maryland versus Wake Forest men's basketball game has been postponed to due severe winter weather throughout the Baltimore-Washington region, upon consultation between Maryland, Wake Forest and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) officials.
"Coach Williams and I have been in constant contact with Wake Forest and Conference officials throughout the day," said Athletics Director Deborah A. Yow. "We both believe that the safety of our fans and game day personnel is paramount. It would be next to impossible to appropriately staff the event today, both inside and outside the arena."
Originally scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Comcast Center, officials will hold a Monday morning conference call to determine if weather conditions allow for the contest to be played in the early evening on Monday, February 17th. If the game cannot be played on Monday evening, a future makeup date will be scheduled and announced.
Fans should be aware that all tickets, including student tickets, will be honored for the rescheduled contest.
