Why do woman, win most of the office pools. We live and die football, they don't know the name of the teams, but yet win.
Packers can't cover to much money on them. It has nothing to do with capping games. It is a cat and mouse game. Your thinking Greenbay has to win at home, they lost at home against the giants, they are due. And look what happens. When you think you have it figured out, something else changes.Betting football is like flipping a coin. You can sit here all night and day and cap games, noway Giants are better than the COWBOYS, and I am a GIANT fan . They win because THE WORLD was on dallas. That is my true believe.

                  ive heard..............

that like 82 percent of the time the public is wrong on the picking of the games.not sure if this is a fact or what exactly.but look everyone was on dallas they lost, everyone on green bay they lost, not sure about the atlanta--detroit game but im sure everyone was on atlanta and they lost,im sure alot of people took jacksonville over san diego and jacksonville lost.and im sure seattle was taken by alot of people also and they lost.etc. etc.

I believe in many cases bettors rely too much on past history. The Giants are a good example. People look at the 2003 record of 4-12 and losers of 9 straight to end the season. The players quit on Jim Fassel. In 2002 the Giants finished 10-6 making the playoffs. They were a better team than their record indicated yesterday. Last years Giant team had the 2nd toughest schedule in the NFL.

Coming into this season most, including myself thought the Giants would be horrible. They have shown under Coughlin they are better coached and more motivated this season.

On the flip side, the Dallas Cowboys. After numerous lousy season under a new coach last season they finished 10-6 making the playoffs.

The Cowboys are over-rated and the Giants are under-rated by the betting public.

Sundays game there was another factor stated a few times at this site. Dallas coming off a bye. Most probably thought a team at home coming off the bye versus a team that won on the road last week would have the edge. History proves likewise. The edge was in the Giants favor.

Another member posted that Dallas was 12-6 ATS after the bye week. Seven of those 12 ATS were during the Cowboys years when they were the elite team in the league. Meaning the other years they were 5-5. They were 2-2 the last 4 years with that trend.
