Dolphins (0-4) @ Patriots (3-0)- Miami is horrible, and now comes word that Ricky Williams might come back to play this year, just what they need. Fish scored 32 points in four games, all of which stayed under; they're already minus-10 in turnovers, and failed to score TD in last two games. Patriots won their last three series games by 6,3, 12 points; Dolphins lost their last three visits to this site by 7,3,12; six of last nine road series totals were 44+. Pat wins this year are by 3,11 and 14 points.

Browns (2-2) @ Steelers (3-1)- Cleveland has one TD in 22 road possessions; they lost seven of last eight tilts vs Pittsburgh, which is scoring 26 ppg at home (13 on road). Roethlisberger 2-0 as starter, as Steelers ran for 318 yds in those games. Browns have five FGs and no TDs in the first half this year; they scored 12,10 in their losses, 20,17 in the wins- they have three TDs in last 34 possessions, as Garcia looked lousy last week, and they won.

Raiders (2-1) @ Colts (3-1)- Raiders allowed 24,30 pts in its losses, 10,20 in the wins; Colts averaging 31 ppg; they scored 24 in their only loss, and have 13 TDs in last 28 possessions. Oakland won last four series games, with last loss in '86; they won their last five games at the Colts, going 2-0 in Indy (38-31/23-1. Minus-7 turnover ratio has hampered Raiders, whose two wins are vs 0-3 Bills, 0-4 Bucs. Colts have started nine drives 80+ yards from goal line, and have five TDs and a FG- tremendous.

Lions (2-1) @ Falcons (4-0)- Home team won eight of last nine series games. Atlanta is 4-0, but offense is shaky, with two TDs on last 20 possessions and just 11-42 on third down, but defense is awesome, allowing one TD in last 22 trips over last two games. Three of their fourtilts stayed under total. Falcons have 601 rushing yards in last three games, and have started eight less drives 80+ yards from end zone than their opponents, so solid defense and good field position are bailing out the offense.

Buccaneers (0-4) @ Saints (2-2)- Young Simms gets his first start at QB on Texas-Oklahoma weekend, more than a little ironic, since many of his worst moments in spotty college career came vs Sooners. Bucs won two of last three at this site, after losing previous nine visits. Four of last six series totals were 43+. Tampa has three TDs on 44 possessions, partly because in their last three games, they haven't started a drive in enemy territory, while its foes have had four. Erratic Saints are 2-2, with both wins by a field goal; their last three games went over total.

Giants (3-1) @ Cowboys (2-1)-- Giants are plus-11 in turnovers during three-game win streak, forcing 13 TOs and shutting last two opponents out in first half. Big Blue is plus-6 in black zone drives (Dallas is plus-6); their foes have not started drive in Giant territory last two games. Cowboys are more of passing team with Vinny (301.3 yds/g in air); they're 2-1 despite minus-3 TO ratio, but allowed just two TDs in 23 possessions, after allowing Vikings five TDs in season opner.

Vikings (3-0) @ Texans (2-2)-- Texans won two in row for first time in history; three of their four games went over which is pace Vikings like to play at. Suspension of Smith and Bennett's injury means Culpepper will throw more in this one, with top two RBs out; they've scored 31 ppg in their wins, 16 in the loss. WR Johnson has sparked Texan passing game that has averaged 7+ yds per attempt in all four of its games this season. First series meeting.

Bills (0-3) @ Jets (3-0)- Why are Bills 0-3? They've yet to allow 100 rushing yards in game, but they've scored just three TDs in 29 possessions, with two TDs and three FGs in eight red zone trips. Jets are plus-8 in turnovers vs teams that are combined 3-8 this year. Bills forced one turnover in last two games, and could never get to Brady last week despite blitzing on every pass play. Buffalo lost five of last six visits to this site, with all five losses by 10+ points. Jets running ball for 150 yards a game.

Jaguars (3-1) @ Chargers (2-2)- San Diego scored 27+ points in three of four games, with those three going over total, but they have just one takeaway in last three games. Jags are scoring just 13 ppg, with all four games staying under, but they have just one giveaway in last three tilts. Jax won only series meeting last year, 27-21, gaining 436 total yards and averaging 10.1 yards per pass attempt; their last three foes haven't started drive in Jaguar territory

Panthers (1-2) @ Broncos (3-1)- Denver allowed just 33 points in last three games, giving up three TDs in last 29 possessions. Carolina is minus-5 in turnovers and allowing 142 rushing yards per game; with huge revenge game vs Philly on tap next week loss here would probably make them 1-4 next week. Panthers scored 14,10 in losses, 28 in their win. Denver scoring 28.5 ppg at home (11 ppg on road). Road team won all three Carolina games in '04.

Rams (2-2) @ Seahawks (3-0)- NFC West race could come to early end if Seattle wins here. Host team is 4-0 in series, since clubs have been division rivals. Four of last five series totals were 47+. Rams ran ball 30,36 times in their wins, 15,15 in losses; they're getting bested in field position battles (started 18 drives 80+ yards from goal line) and need to use combo of Faulk/Jackson to keep pressure off its shaky run defense. Seattle was rolling as it hit its bye; can they keep their momentum?

Cardinals (1-3) @ 49ers (0-4)- Arizona playing big-time defense; they've allowed just three TDs in 43 opposition possessions, none in last two games (22 poss) History on side of 49ers, as Redbirds lost last eight visits to this site, allowing 88 points in last two, but Niners trailed at half in last two games, both by 24-0 scores; they're terrible club. Both sides stayed under in three of four games; 49ers allowing 30.7 ppg in last three games. Not like Arizona is juggernaut, but they did lose only 6-3 at 4-0 Atlanta, so maybe their sordid history is denying them due credit. .

Ravens (2-2) @ Redskins (1-3)- Baltimore ran ball for average of 213 ypg in two wins, 84 in losses. Washington lost last three games, but no one has rushed for 100 yards on them yet. RB Portis questioning coaches, even though his head coach is already in Hall of Fame, isn't good sign for Skins, who have two takeaways in last three games and haven't started drive in enemy territory last two tilts. Seven of last eight series totals were 37 or less. Ravens are plus-8 in black zone drives, but QB Boller looked lost for much of Monday night's game.

Titans (1-3) @ Packers (1-3)- Both sides on three-game losing skids, with banged-up star QBs, so this basically is an elimination game between desperate teams. Titans are weak on defense, allowing 11 TDs in last 28 possessions they haven't started a drive in enemy territory last three games. Packers 0-2 at home and have deeper QB issues, as their backup Peterson is out, so if Favre can't go, and it is expected that he will play, its totally untested Nall at QB. At least Titans' QB Volek has experience. Home team lost six of last eight series games, with both sides
3-1 on the other's field. Wednesday night, the 24-yr old brother of Deanna Favre died in an ATV accident; there has been no comment as of yet from the Favre family.
