The current line on this contest is Phoenix –5 ½. This seems like a generous spot considering that these teams are heading in opposite directions.

The Suns have now failed to cover in 3 consecutive games despite all of them being at home, losing the last 2 here outright to the Clippers and Knicks. While they are 20-6 S/U at home, their home AMOV of +4.8 points would not be good enough to cover this inflated spot. They have also been a terrible investment as a favorite this year, going 8-15, 34.8% ATS when giving points, including 7-11, 38.9% at home.

The Celtics on the other hand have won 4 games in a row, including the first 3 games of this road trip. They have had uncanny success on the road vs. Western Conference teams, going 5-2 ATS this season and 11-5-1, 68.8% as non-conference road underdogs since the start of last season. Their current winning streak coincides with the return of Antoine Walker to playing shape, and he and Pierce should have a field day vs. a suddenly porous Phoenix defense that is allowing an incredible 110.3 points per game in the last 4 games.
